Worst or annoying? Coz annoying doesn't necessarily =/= worst... Take Michael as a poster on here for example. INCREDIBLY annoying, but nowhere near the worst when we have people like CommonSense/Vidcapper et al. :)

The Big Bang Theory is a great idea but poorly executed, that is what prevents it from being as good as say The IT Crowd - it may be because I'm not American but I just don't feel in any way invested or able to relate to literally ANY of the characters - and some are so beyond hyperbole (Sheldon's Aspergers is taken to such an extreme as to make HIM and his condition the joke!) that it makes it unwatchable. I don't think it is one of the worst TV shows ever though.

i love it

I enjoyed BBT for what it was for quite a while. I have no desire to go into the new seasons but I found it funny enough and the nerd references were occasionally rather clever. It's hardly deserving of worst TV show ever. And while I'm here I might as well double down and say I enjoyed How I Met Your Mother for a bit. Both of those, it would be pointless to watch every episode because the characters barely get a chance to grow. But they're... okay.

 

Mrs Browns Boys is the sort of thing I do find unwatchable but I wouldn't quite say those as much as I'd want to, I'm with Jonjo here, any TV show that focuses on people with no regard for WHY they're interesting, instead just putting people together and hoping a spark ignites (you need a combination of character and plot for a good show, people know that a good plot but bad characters kills the show and I wish people would learn that the reverse is also true), that's pretty bad (not that I've seen any of the three he's mentioned but I wouldn't want to). And, well, anything where it feels like you're being sold a product rather than a story. Lots of reality shows fall into that, the X-Factor especially so now, lots of shows based around a multimedia project can easily fall into that if they don't get a good story to go with their merchandise. I'm not sure I could pinpoint the worst one right now though.

I forgot about Keeping up with the Kardashians/it's various related programmes and spin offs. I've never watched an episode but yeah, kill it.

When I say BBT is pointless I'm talking about its storyline. It just circles and meanders through the same territory, again and again. Certainly not the worst, so I apologize. But definitely the most overrated.

 

The WORST show is anything to do with the f***ing Kardashians.

kardashians is amazing

Yeh, I think the charm with Death in Paradise is that it offers a counterpart to all the dark and gritty dramas that are critical successes. It's just a lighthearted watch where you know exactly what you're going to get: a simple whodunnit that only lasts an hour and you can dip in and out of the series whenever you want.

 

TOWIE and Made in Chelsea are certainly my least favourite TV shows that come to mind. It's so mindnumbing that I really don't understand how anyone can watch it. It's the weird notion of them acting but it being their real life that I really don't understand and it just gets cringy.

 

Add me to the list of people who don't like Mrs Browns Boys/The Big Bang Theory/How I Met Your Mother too. There's so many brilliant sitcoms out there that go unnoticed by the mainstream that it's a shame that those are the most popular.
