There's also the very slim possibility that we could see the Ed Sheeran written X Factors Winner single performed by Matt Terry at Christmastime.

No chance as it's a Christmas song and 2015's winner never appeared on NOW 93

I think the NOW team will be the first people to get Ed and then he'll fall into the Warner Brothers compilations afterwards. This'll be a the exclusive of this album.
So the team at Now Music have just announced on their Facebook page that they have arrived at Abbey Studios today to record Now 96, and the playlist will be revealed tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd March.

Praying for Steps.

Still not sure whether Ed will be on here, it's going to be a pretty underwhelming release without at least one of the two biggest hits of the year by far on the album.

I'm surprised they're unveiling it tomorrow as opposed to their usual Friday but can't wait

I too am praying for Steps! Saying that Headlines (that went No. 11) never made NOW 68/69.

I have so many questions about this track listing! Thanks to licensing changing, it's now a case of "which artist said yes"

And a case of age. For example: if Oasis had a #3 hit and Calvin Harris had a #61 hit, they'd choose Calvin Harris over Oasis

Both Rihanna and Calvin Harris have had 3 songs on a Now album, although never more than 2 as the lead artist.

Speaking of triple appearances, Dua Lipa could have a triple appearance: "Be The One", "No Lie" and "Scared To Be Lonely"

I'd love that! Dua Lipa is awesome! Zara Larsson might make it twice as well, her own song and her collab with Clean Bandit. Ooooh, I hope we get Clean Bandit.

True! But then there was a bigger crop of hits to pick from, now poor Jenny is having to decide which 10 non top 40 hits to include so a #37/iTunes #1/from a likely successful upcoming album whould be a no-brainer for me!

Ooh what happened to the licensing? I haven't heard about this, have we lost a record label or something?

No. It's about artists refusing to let their music appear on here i.e. Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Adele. I hope they change their minds in future like Stevie Wonder did. He was signed to Motown which was owned by Virgin which meant "I Just Called To Say I Love You" would've appeared on NOW 4 if he allowed his music to appear on compilations back in 1984

Oh I see, not another Now 87 type situation then!

We lost out on so much for NOW 87. Let's face it, Kylie and Lily Allen will never appear on another Numbered NOW

Sigrid? Is that still due to take off?

Very random choice of George Michael track...a #1 and a classic, but not an obvious pick I wouldn't have said. Maybe it was just so they could say there's a #1 on the album!

These albums are getting more and more weird, but at least they got Ed...he obviously told them they can have Shape Of You for Now 97 instead. Good ploy to get himself on there but without giving them his most popular song.

Nice for Train and Robbie to be back too I guess, poor Steps tho!

'Castle On The Hill', but no 'Shape Of You'? :\

Was hoping Gaga could've been one of those "last 3 on disc 1" sort of tracks with 'A Million Reasons'.

I suspect that Chainsmokers/Coldplay & 'Galway Girl' will all be on 97?

I think it's one of those tracklists where it feels like they've left a lot off, but actually it's a fairly accurate one? I wonder if that's it for STEPS and Take That? Their albums will surely be big enough and they did go top 40 with their newest singles.

They haven't missed too much off thinking about it. The ones on the top of my head

Ed - Shape of You

Chainsmokers/Coldplay

Zayn/Taylor

Clean Bandit/Zara (this is probably too recent though)

If they wanted to add George Michael as a tribute, they should have added "Careless Whisper" instead of a song of his which appeared on a past volume and as for Ed Sheeran, they should have added his #1 single instead of his #2 single but at least we know now that they have the rights to his music
