True. I just don’t like how this years BRITs compilation has been knocked down to 2 discs

The third disc was mainly made up of oldies from past winners anyway!

Sometimes they'd do 3 discs full of the previous chart hits. I guess in this time of licensing issues they can't really get much.

Release date for NOW Remix has been pushed back a week to 23rd February. There’s no other major compilations out on the 16th so they should’ve just left it as it was

The 16th is BRITs week though so makes sense to wait a couple of days to release to let the hype of all the albums die down.

Random question - do Queen have a rule that they only license their songs to compilations if they're made track 1?

Every instance I can find of them on the main numbered Now compilations they're either 1st up on Disc 1 or Disc 2, same goes for Freddie Mercury's solo offerings. This includes some very questionable inclusions of them as the first track in the mid 90s, I guess the compilers were desperate to have those songs on there and this was the only way

It's also happened with pretty much any other compilation they've ever been on - Now Spin offs, Smash Hits albums, Legends type compilations, even Huge Hits 2000 - I mean We Will Rock You with 5ive was hardly deserving of opening that album considering the other much bigger smashes on there.

It can't be a coincidence surely?

There are a couple of exceptions in the main series. Innuendo on Now 19 and Flash on Now 54 spring to mind.

You're right on Innuendo. I did wonder if Flash was a special case, being a remix/collab (imagine if that had lead Now 54 )

There’s other NOWs where they weren’t Disc 1 Track 1: 3, 4, 7 and 16

There’s other NOWs where they weren’t Disc 1 Track 1: 3, 4, 7 and 16

Still, since 1991 Flash seems to be the only instance that they weren't leading an album they feature on, so maybe some sort of licensing agreement kicked in around then.

I just can't fathom why they ALWAYS lead every time. Maybe it is just a coincidence! Odd one though.

“No Words” by Dave will be appearing on this years BRITs compilation which means it will most likely be appearing on NOW 99

Maybe the release date only changed on amazon as NOW themselves have tweeted that it’s available from the 16th

Jacob Sartorius dear lawd, any respect I had for the US NOW! series (very little) is now gone.

NF and P!nk being included on NOW 65 U.S. means that we’ll most likely get them for NOW 99
I hope Kylie makes it with Dancing. It was criminal that Into the Blue wasn't on NOW 87.

I hope Kylie makes it with Dancing. It was criminal that Into the Blue wasn't on NOW 87.

That was because Warner didn’t let any of their songs apart from “Riptide” appear on there hence why we never had “Rather Be” and “Air Balloon”

Disc 2 of Bravo Hits 100 is fabulous. Troye & Kylie! Instant purchase for me.

Not a fan of the 100 Hits album. I hope if NOW do this they go for some of the forgotten gems as well as the big hits.

Thrilled to see 'No Limit' on Now 65 but I'm disappointed that 'New Rules' isn't on it! Hopefully it'll be on Now 66.

Likewise on the bonus tracks, Eves is an amazing inclusion but cancelled out by Jacob Sartorius :\
