October 14, 20169 yr So this must be the end of the INMWT list with only 1 song there this week although the Amazons new track is great! So does that mean we have less songs in the playlist without them overall or will be get more A/B/C list tracks added? I think main categories will be more flexible, that's all. Yeah, strange decision, but what if it'll come true? --- This week I like Starving...only.
October 14, 20169 yr Author Are you for real? I doubt Mango likes Drake that much lol. It's a nice thing saying that the song is shit. Just because you like Drake, doesn't mean everyone else does. And besides, there's fresher songs which they could give time for. There's other newer songs which were on the playlists and got removed too soon to make way for the tripe Exactly, I wouldn't call myself a Drake fan at all (though I do like the odd Drake song here and there). Somehow I think you missed the point. Radio 1 playlist songs which are singles. End of. Edited October 14, 20169 yr by Mango
October 17, 20169 yr Equally, because you don't like Drake, doesn't mean that R1 shouldn't support him :P I'm no fan but he's one of the biggest artists in the world and Controlla has only just been promoted to a single, hence why it's playlisted this week. If I had my way, it wouldn't get near the playlist, but it's not up to me and I know people have different tastes. It's actually not playlisted this week! It was the track of the day not long ago though, wasn't it, so a likely enough add next week.

October 17, 20169 yr Controlla makes me sick just thinking about it :puke: surely they could have picked a song from the album everyone's not bored of? Anyway, back on topic, how do they edit the lyrics of Lock Doh? I've never heard it played on the radio
October 17, 20169 yr Controlla makes me sick just thinking about it :puke: surely they could have picked a song from the album everyone's not bored of? 131k streams yesterday says people aren't bored of it :P (lol I'm defending it as if I'm a fan, I'm really not, it's one of my least favourite songs of the year, but it was an obvious single sadly)
October 17, 20169 yr Sean Paul is 43, Sia is 40, are they the oldest people to get playlisted? I am surprised that Sean Paul has been playlisted with Crick Neck but I am happy for him.
October 17, 20169 yr Author Paul McCartney was playlisted last year and he's 74. He wasn't playlisted in his own right though, it was only cos he featured on Rihanna & Kanye's song. As lead artist, the oldest person I can think of is Cher, she was 52 when 'Believe' was released, but they may well have supported her subsequent era too, I'm not sure. 'Celebration' I think would have been the last Madonna single they playlisted, and she would have been 51.
October 18, 20169 yr Crick Neck has been playlisted because it's very catchy, on trend and Sean Paul is still relevant. What with dancehall influencing seeking every other song in the chart and he's been resigned to Island records.
October 19, 20169 yr He wasn't playlisted in his own right though, it was only cos he featured on Rihanna & Kanye's song. 'Celebration' I think would have been the last Madonna single they playlisted, and she would have been 51. They playlisted "Strong Enough" in 1999, not sure if the other singles from that album were though. They didnt however playlist The Music Is No Good Without You in 2001
