I like the disco synth in the chorus ! It's enjoyable but I don't see it doing well on the chart.

Yay mid 00s funky house vibes. It is a bit like the classic that is Michael Gray and Shell

y Poole's Borderline, that also had a disco sounding chorus :)

I had a feeling you'd like this The Snake. Best funky house influenced song I've heard in a little while, great track

Yeah much much better than Ida Corr's most famous dance feature Let Me Think About It imo.....

There has been a sort of funky house revival recently though, with the new Bob Sinclar and Daddys Groove one being an 80s remix that sounds like it is straight from early 2005, the cover by John Gibbons of Would I Lie To You also sounding very mid 00s and the Throttle Money Maker one too being a disco strings led funky house record.

In the charts of course we had Offaiah - Trouble which sounds very 2006 in terms of having disco style backing vocals, being a funky looped house song and also having a first drop a bit like the one in Somebody's Watching Me and a second one a bit like the one in Love Dont Let Me Go.

The new Galantis record has some funky house in the chorus and the whole song to me is a bit like Uniting Nations' You and Me back in 2005. And of course Tears by Clean Bandit and Louisa Johnson was funky house too (mixed with pop of course)with disco backing vocals on the second verse and disco strings too.

We seem to have gone fron 90s style and early 00s garage to mid 00s style revivals. Poor late 90s and early 00s trance seems to have got left out.

Love it, it will no doubt grow on me

Hopefully Radio 1 will playlist it....
