Hello dance forum regulars and visitors.

 

We all know that dance is the best genre, and now we have the opportunity to showcase the best of what the genre has to offer with the other genre forums (Pop, Indie/Rock/Alternative, R&B/Urban), as well as the Eurovision forum because why not?

 

If you haven't read Lindsey's Base Camp Thread yet, click the link provided.

 

Here is the gist of it though:

• You may post up to five nominations in this thread. The songs with the most nominations will go towards our national final where four songs will be chosen to compete against the other forums.

• The theme for this contest is Signature Sounds, so think about what will really represent the artists in mind and the genre of electronic dance music.

• You may not nominate any song that has been a UK Top 40 hit or has finished top 10 in Eurovision or by an artist with their own forum. Any songs nominated will be subject to vetting by the moderators.

• Also try to avoid songs that have previously been hits in the BuzzJack Song Contest. A list of all previous entries can be found here.

• You have until 23:59 07/11/16 to nominate.

 

Let's try to get a range of different sub-genres too (e.g. house, trance, electronic, dubstep, drum n' bass). We don't want four songs that sound the same!

:hi: BJSC songs are allowed, since this is a forum contest rather than posters and its very much separate from BJSC, we thought it would be okay to not have anything against entries from it or Spin-Offs, same goes for Unknown Pleasures and Nuggets. However, I'm not saying that if you put a BJSC entry forward it wont get vetoed, it might be pushing the boundaries of cheapness a bit too far in some cases so I guess I'd recommend avoiding anything that did well in any of those contests but it is up to you and if you do want to veto stuff from BJSC automatically then that's cool, just that not all the genre forums need to abide by that as it's not an "official" rule :lol:

 

I hope that makes sense, I'm just trying not to limit you guys too much and the no UK Top 40s/Eurovision top tens/Artists with their own forum rules out a lot of the mega-cheap things anyway :')

I'm not vetoing all the Bjsc songs, just the ones that were big hits.

 

Storm - Huri-Khan was a Bjsc entry but finished near the bottom of the final so I'm letting that through.

 

Hopefully at least pop follows a no big Bjsc hits rule too otherwise Bonbon has already won this contest :kink:
