Despite being the probable underdog in this contest, we still have the opportunity to showcase the best of what the genre has to offer with the other genre forums (Pop, Indie/Rock/Alternative, Dance), as well as the Eurovision forum because why not? If you haven't read Lindsey's Base Camp Thread yet, click the link provided. Here is the gist of it though: • You may post up to five nominations in this thread. The songs with the most nominations will go towards our national final where four songs will be chosen to compete against the other forums. • The theme for this contest is Signature Sounds, so think about what will really represent the artists in mind and the genre of Urban music. • You may not nominate any song that has been a UK Top 40 hit or has finished top 10 in Eurovision or by an artist with their own forum. Any songs nominated will be subject to vetting by the moderators. • Also try to avoid songs that have previously been hits in the BuzzJack Song Contest. A list of all previous entries can be found here. • You have until 23:59 07/11/16 to nominate. Let's try to get a range of different sub-genres too (e.g. Hip Hop/R&B/Grime/Dancehall/Afrobeat). October 31, 20168 yr Author Yes, I was going to nominate No Games too... hear it so much I can't believe it wasn't a Top 40 hit! Think this is ripe for a big Grime song actually. If we want to reflect the best of Urban then it cannot be ignored. Something like Man Don't Care, 3 Wheel-ups or Know Me From should be nominated. So much urban stuff doesn't get in the chart anymore so this could be quite beneficial or quite hard!
