I'd like James Corden to get Christmas #1, and I think he probably will. If not for the fact "Carpool Karaoke" is one of my main YouTube obsessions!

James Corden is actually releasing music? Oh good heavens. :drama:

I blame Kylie for this, she opened the floodgates last year.

Somebody is fortunate enough to have forgotten 'Shout (For England)' then?

Back in 2000, people were (stupidly) betting on Spice Girls' cancelled flop If You Wanna (Have Some Fun) (Something On Your Mind) - yes, it is as bad as the title suggests - to beat Westlife etc to be Christmas 2000 no.1. They were also at 25/1 for that. They had aboot as much chance as this year then too!! XD

:') Oh Michael!

(I can't resist replying to this) it's simply called 'If You Wanna Have Some Fun' as I'm sure you know, lol.

I can't find anything online about it being in the 2000 Christmas #1 odds but I'll take your word for it. It wasn't scheduled to be a single though, it just served as a promotional single - so it seems odd to me that it'd have been included in the odds. 'Tell Me Why' was a planned single from 'Forever', it was originally scheduled for a March 2001 release, but obviously it was cancelled because they parted company.

Mariah for Christmas #1 please! *.*

I wouldn't be opposed to the winner of the X Factor (Matt Terry~) managing it, particularly if it's a good original song!

Please no at James Corden. I don't dislike him, but I find the song to be irritating.

My predictions:

1. Elvis

2. Robbie

3. Ball & Boe

Ball and Boe are looking good based on how their sales have held up but I would say they won't have quite as many promo slots as groups like LM!

I guess that is how the chart works :kink:

Fixed, Jay

20/1 Drake

20/1 Adele

20/1 Ed Sheeran

20/1 Olly Murs

Well there it is, there's no way I can see it being anything other than that, even Bieber couldn't beat last year's one.

Shame the odds aren't as tasty this year. That'll be the first #1 to drop out of the top 40 the next week!

Ugh, I love the original of that song and it never got to number 1, will be great to watch that murdered :'( (though no James Corden is a good thing)
I think this year the competition is very wide open. I just hope we don't get another horrific X factor Xmas no1.

I've taken a listen and it's actually quite a decent remake, Paul Carrack who sang the original version has kept most of his parts of the song too so it's not like last year's where it was just the choir the whole way through.

No Honey G odds? :(

Seriously though, just listened to the choir on Youtube and it's a good version. They haven't murdered it. It'll be No.1.

She was 25/1.

Calvin Harris? Is he due some new music out, then?

I don't believe so, they often just give short odds to popular artists like him, Adele and Bieber even if they seem to have no chance.
