I presume a lot of people have been putting money on Mariah so the bookies will cut her odds to cover themselves.

It's Record Of The Week on Ken Bruce's show on R2 too so quite a bit of exposure atm.

Can't see it being Mariah, just seems too good to be true. Impressive its managed to get this high already but history tells us after its first big climb in the top 40 it evens out the next 2 weeks:

2015: 35-13-12-11-37

2014: 68-52-17-16-18-20

2013: 68-47-14-12-13-30

2012: 56-30-20-21-20-55

2011: 64-27-12-11-17

So yeah can't see it, it'll stay around the #5 mark going by this pattern^ altho its great to see it have this "mini 3-week run" within the top 10 this year. In a few years time (and when Xmas day falls more favourably within the charting week) it could feasibly manage 3 weeks in the top 3!

The Weeknd's 'I Feel It Coming' could get there actually! :o

#6 on iTunes

#11 on Spotify

He's performing it on the XFactor too!

I'm not ready for this *.* I really hope it gets put 59p, but I assume it could get to iTunes #1 regardless, meaning a big climb into the top 5 is bound for next week :o

When are the Hospice and Jo Cox songs released? This Friday?

Yes but the difference this year is that streaming has a much bigger effect on the chart than ever before, and from what I understand she always hits the streaming #1 in the week or so before Christmas, so rather than just even out over the next 2 weeks I think she might very well climb. I can certainly see her finishing Top 3 this year, if not #1.

This.

If Drake can stay at number one for 15 weeks despite not being in the iTunes top 10 at one point (IIRC), I think Mariah has a good shot for just a week.

Greg Lake has died so wonder if it's a bit late for a campaign to get I Believe In Father Christmas to No.1. Great song, only kept off in 1975 by Bohemian Rhapsody

There's still just over a week to sort any campaign out.

I suspect he'll get a bit of a boost and make the top 40, but number 1 seems a bit unlikely.
God I can't believe he's dead - must have only been in his 60s, wouldn't be the most well known artist so hard to know if there will be an affect!

He was 69 according to Wiki.

Older than I thought - seen him in a Xmas chart rundown a few years back and thought he looked young.

And DB - everything seems a long shot in this years Xmas chart!
