wasn't a fan of 'Cry'. Sigma in general aren't that great anymore sadly.

'Stanga' was a great BJSC tune. Didn't make much of a splash in my chart though.

64. Kent Jones - Don't Mind

Total points: 229

Chart run: 20-7-9-7-11-13-18-24-35-37 {10 weeks}

After spending several weeks in the hypothetical "outer-Chart" this urban jam managed a respectable run, peaking within the top 10. Will we hear any more from this guy in 2017 remains the question?

63. Adam F & Kokiri (feat. Rae) - Harmony

Total points: 229

Chart run: 19-7-4-7-12-15-19-23-34 {9 weeks}

After all 3 artists achieved big hits last year they came together in force to create this superb house track, which may well have achieved a longer run at a less competitive time of the year.

Kent Jones seems to have already disappeared, I'd be surprised if we ever hear from him again. Great song though.

His follow-up song tanked and unlike Fetty Wap or Macklemore he didn't have obvious smashes to follow up his breakthrough... classic one hit wonder I think.

Cry was quite good, shame it didn't get the chart success it deserved :(

Agreed, at least it got a chart play but Sigma are always gonna be hampered by streaming sadly!

I actually really enjoyed their album! They've put out a few duds though like Glitterball & their current one.

To think it was a potential of mine too (but the song I did send ended up doing pretty well anyway)

It is great, very happy that it made the UK top 10!

Yeah I just looked up he had a second song, not too surprised it never did anything though. He might feature on something down the line perhaps?

Don't Need No Money and Dessert are great! The latter is a total guilty pleasure, I must admit I'm only really familiar with the Silentó remix!

Hi Dobbo

I always forget how much of a jam Don't Mind is until I hear it on the radio or something. I thought it was quite terrible at first but it had one hell of a catchy tune. Prefer it to Panda in terms of US crossover urban rap hits.

Don't Need No Money was a low peaker but fairly long runner on my chart too, it's a shame it never turned into a big hit because it sounded huge ! Hoping we get to hear more from her in the future though, she has a great dance music voice :wub:

:D

Middle was a good tune but it never fully clicked for me. I do like its video though.

Don't Mind was a personal chart #1 for me but I got bored of it quite quickly. I quite liked 'Alright' by him too after hearing it on a Spotify playlist

Will you be running an EOY countdown this year Lewis?

Yeah, I'll make the thread for that today. :)

Yeah I do really love hearing it played! I'm not so fussed it didn't become a hit in its Silentó guise as I never enjoyed his version :/

Took me a few listens to get into Don't Mind as well but it really clicked eventually. Agreed much prefer it to Panda which got boring really quickly.

Huge shame about Don't Need No Money it sounded like a HUGE hit, still don't quite know why it didn't do anything especially seeing as they had a hit with Say You Do. Yeah I love her vocals on all I've heard so far, let's hope she can get some sort of success in the near future!

Yes at Stanga :wub:

A true winner that never got crowned :wub:

100%. Would have been one of the best of the year too :dance:

Middle was a real slow burner for me but I did much prefer it to Let Me Love You of his hits this year. The vid is great!

I think I heard Alright once & didn't think much of it, certainly a lot weaker than Don't Mind which still sounds pretty fresh :music:

I'll have a look at your list up to now!

62. TIEKS (feat. Dan Harkna) - Sunshine

Total points: 235

Chart run: 6-9-9-13-19-20-22-22-22-33 {10 weeks}

This very summery track became TIEKS' first hit on the Chart, where it debuted in the top 10. Despite only spending 10 total weeks it sustained a steady run to place it in a respectable final position on the countdown.

Chart run: 19-5-8-16-22-24-28-23-21-22-27-39 {12 weeks}

Knife Party returned with a brand new EP at the back end of 2015 however it was a remix of one their tracks that did the business here, spending 3 months in the Chart.

60. Drake (feat. Wizkid & Kyla) - One Dance

Total points: 239

Chart run: 8-7-5-6-9-15-17-25-38 {9 weeks}

Into the top 60 & we see the first of four appearances from Drizzy himself, the lowest in fact from the 15-week UK #1 'One Dance'. Despite its 5 weeks in the top 10 it dropped rather quickly thereafter following the release of his album 'Views'. As he seems to have been allergic to YouTube this year the single covers will feature for his entries instead!

See I don't really mind One Dance, I don't like Drake generally speaking but One Dance is alright! Not the kinda thing I'd go out of my way to listen to but I'm quite happy to keep it playing on the radio. 15 weeks at #1 took the mick a bit though :')

Let's just ignore the fact that One Dance is here

Sunshine is a great track! Did well on my Personal Chart as well and brings back fond memories of the summer :D

I think that indifferent feeling to it played a big part in its streaming success actually! Most people I know either LOVE it or just find it alright, I guess quite a few are a bit tired of it now tho (and tbf his other hits Too Good & Controlla both feature higher on this countdown).

Not a fan Pete? :P

Yeah same here, will always remind me of Summer Sixteen :kink: I think Dan Harkna has a great voice for dance tracks actually, hope he can line up some future features.

One Dance is so good still, glad it's had a great Official run.

Sunshine is also a big tune, shame it took so long to get big, by that time I'd already gotten bored of it.

Sunshine and One Dance both amazing summer tunes :heart:

not a fan of the new Knife Party material :( what happened to them?
