Sunshine is a great track. Unbelievably catchy.

One Dance is absolutely huge as well. That's got to be the defining sound of 2016.

Yay at another fan of One Dance, especially towards the beginning of its chart run I was really, really enjoying. Of course it got rather tedious after so many weeks at the top of the charts but if I listen back now I can still enjoy it a fair bit, it's quite the ear worm for me still.

Also glad to see Sunshine so high up here, I've kind of forgotten about it and it's a huge shame it wasn't a bigger hit. If it was out a bit earlier, I'm sure it would have performed a bit better during the hot summer months, it sounded perfect for that time frame.

Looking forward to what's left to come, Dobbo!

One Dance is so good still, glad it's had a great Official run.

Sunshine is also a big tune, shame it took so long to get big, by that time I'd already gotten bored of it.

It was some run wasn't it? Wonder if it can stay in the top 40 till Jan!

Same for Sunshine, when it charted officially it had finished its run here! It's a good song to hear now again tho :heart:

Sunshine and One Dance both amazing summer tunes :heart:

not a fan of the new Knife Party material :( what happened to them?

Well the last EP was definitely their weakest so far but I didn't mind it. The remix was by a mile the highlight :dance:

Yeah a really feelgood song of which there aren't that many in dance these days! (Or at least one that get some commercial success)

Most definitely yeah it's been the year of Drake.

I do still enjoy One Dance but the subsequent singles all exceeded it for me! By the time it was at its 15th week at #1 I wasn't going out of my way to listen to it anymore :lol:

Shame Sunshine couldn't crack the top 10 but I never even expected it to be a hit at all so overall I was pleased at its run. I did think it would do a lot better on streaming once it started to take off though!

Sunshine and to a now lesser extent One Dance are very good!

I completely agree :cheer:

It was a strong year for Polish acts this year with pop artist Margaret earning a top 2 hit then DJ C-BooL going on to score a #1. 'Cool Me Down' spent half of its run within the top 10.

Chart run: 5-6-10-6-12-14-25-18-32 {9 weeks}

Australian singer Troye Sivan earned his first hit on the Chart this year (although Happy Little Pill would likely have been even bigger if the Charts stretched back that far). A top 5 debut for this song.

Following modest success with both 'Faded' & 'Spectre' Alan Walker returned with a #1 single. However it did drop off fairly quickly considering its peak which just edges it out of the top half of the countdown. Current single 'Alone' debuted this week so will be see that in the 2017 EOY?

This Romanian trio brought us a fantastic string-house song which came close to following its earlier soundalike song 'Feel' by topping the Charts. Also a very late minute plug to any BJSC participants to vote for this in Rejects!

Sing Me To Sleep is an absolute tune :wub: didn't make #1 in my chart but it'll be appearing a lot higher in my EOY regardless.

Quite liked 'The Violin Song' too, though it is a bit too 'Feel Part 2'.

I wonder if it will be higher in yours than mine!

Yeah not wrong, it's still a 10/10 track tho (but Feel is like 15/10).

'Youth' is so brilliant, really impressed with Troye's output so far. I love 'One Dance' too, definite frontrunner in my EOY!

I never clicked with 'The Violin Song' that much unfortunately.

Love You Better was a really great track, although I did prefer Anton Powers' track with Philip George by a large margin.

Yeah same, he definitely has something standout among the hoards of male singer/songwriters on the scene at the moment.

Good to see a big fan of One Dance of course too!

Well it is actually the lowest placed Dobago entry on this countdown (excluding T2Kazuya as I knew that for a few years already) so luckily there's ones you were a fan of to be found a lot higher :)

Same with you on Love You Better. I actually prefer Alone No More to Wish You Were Mine these days!

A huge carry-over from last year, this song also made the 2015 Top 100 but manages to climb 2 places this year. It spent 7 weeks in the Chart before the cut-off & managed a further 10 afterwards including its ultimate peak of #2 behind 'Love Yourself'.

It'd be interesting to see where it would have been if its entire run fell on one side!

Meant to mention in the post he has another track to come (no surprises what it could be).

52. Scooter - Mary Got No Lamb

Chart run: 21-5-4-4-6-12-14-21-27-35 {10 weeks}

Remarkably German dance group Scooter are still going 23 years after forming & still able to bring out bangers such as this. Taken from their eighteenth album this was the only track to chart but racked up a strong enough run to narrowly miss the top half of the countdown.
