November 29, 20168 yr Author Hyped for this!! Hoping to see some Shawn nice and high  TYB has had the longest run on my chart all year so Shawn will definitely be nice and high once I finalise the singles. Thanks Harry and Pete also. Hopefully albums will be starting tonight!!
November 29, 20168 yr Author Only a top 25 in the albums this year as I've been pretty disappointed with most albums this year and barely even listened to many albums outside my top 10 even so it seems weird writing about albums that weren't that great so no proper commentary either until we get a bit higher. http://i.imgur.com/tIGqa3x.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/IdSWcTP.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/blsz8F0.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/qddcZj1.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/ATBIj0P.jpg 25. THE LUMINEERS - CLEOPATRA Chart run: (3-3-6-7-7-7-8-8-10-10-x) 10 weeks Hit singles: 14 Ophelia / (14-16-21-28-35-38-40-45-50-x) 9 weeks Honey was OK but a little on the dull side, Who Am I is the only real thing I've taken away from it, so disappointing following On a Mission and Little Red. I was really hyped for Nothing's Real after an excellent run of singles (showcased by her fairly impressive chart history here) but nothing really stuck with me aside from the singles which is a bit of a shame. Phase was a strong album actually but haven't gone back to it very much at all and it only had such a good chart run in the top 3 due to absolutely no competition whatsoever, some good singles from it too though. 24K Magic is very fresh in my mind and I enjoyed my first couple of listens of it, haven't listened to it since opening week though but it was solid from what I remember, no real standouts though bar the title track. The Lumineers also came back this year with Cleopatra, I probably wouldn't have taken much notice of this but Ophelia was really lovely and I adored the artwork too, it was yet another very nice album from them but nothing too exciting, a pleasant listen nevertheless.
November 29, 20168 yr Shura *.* That album should be winning all the awards tbh. Probably one of if not the best album(s) all year!!
November 30, 20168 yr Yes, I was disappointed with Honey too following her first two albums. I mean, Little Red was a bit of a step down itself but that's because it had On a Mission to compare with, which is one of my all time faves, and it did grow a lot and proved to have a lot to offer. Her current album has failed to do so, but it did give me one of my favourite Katy B tracks in 'I Wanna Be', plus 'Turn the Music Louder' was my ultimate party track this time last year.
November 30, 20168 yr I listened to Bruno's album the other day, the first few tracks are all a bit too similar to 24K Magic from my quick listen but around halfway through it gets more interesting! First time I've (willingly) listened to an album of his, my sister forced his debut on me in the car numerous times though :')
November 30, 20168 yr Author Shura *.* That album should be winning all the awards tbh. Probably one of if not the best album(s) all year!! The singles were fantastic but ah, nothing from the album stood out at all, hope she comes back with some fresh stuff soon though! Thanks James :) Yes, I was disappointed with Honey too following her first two albums. I was also initially disappointed with Little Red too but it eventually grew on me although of course, OAM remained her best but I had no desire to really go back to this much at all so it was a huge disappointment for me. Turn The Music Louder is a pretty good banger though, I've always loved the video for it too  Thanks Liam! CHARLIE PUTH - NINE TRACK MIND Chart run: (3-4-4-5-5-5-5-7-7-7-7-x) 11 weeks Hit singles: 07 Marvin Gaye / (27-13-13-21-24-34-48-xx[1]-20-7-12-24-36-39-x) 13 weeks 10 We Don't Talk Anymore / (20-11-12-10-22-26-33-36-46-36-38-44-48-49-x) 14 weeks 14 One Call Away / (30-17-14-22-23-25-30-40-40-36-38-48-45-49-48-x) 15 weeks 39 Dangerously / (47-39-47-49-...) 4 weeks (so far) 19. FOXES - ALL I NEED Chart run: (3-3-4-4-4-4-6-6-6-6-7-x) 11 weeks Hit singles: 06 Body Talk / (9-6-10-18-30-43-x) 6 weeks 21 Better Love / (21-xx[1]-35-32-34-32-48-x) 6 weeks 23 Amazing / (35-23-44-49-46-x) 5 weeks 30 Cruel / (30-40-48-x) 3 weeks 18. KINGS OF LEON - WALLS Chart run: (3-4-6-7-8-10-10...) 7 weeks (so far) Hit singles: 07 Waste a Moment / (46-7-7-9-13-13-20-30-...) 8 weeks (so far) 07 Find Me / (20-7-8-...) 3 weeks (so far) 17. OLLY MURS - 24 HRS Chart run: (3-6-6-...) 3 weeks (so far) Hit singles: 18 Grow Up / (36-18-23-34-38-43-49-x) 7 weeks 24 You Don't Know Love / (24-30-28-41-45-x) 5 weeks 16. MEGHAN TRAINOR - THANK YOU Chart run: (3-4-4-4-6-6-7-7-8-8-8-8-10-10-10-x) 15 weeks Hit singles: 03 No / (10-4-3-3-10-12-19-30-34-45-x) 10 weeks 40 Better / (40-44-45-x) 3 weeks 46 Me Too / (46-47-x) 2 weeks Charlie Puth is quite the long runner in my singles chart as his singles always seem to be growers that hang around for ages, his album Nine Track Mind didn't have such a long chart run but it was fairly enjoyable and flowed really nicely, the highlights are definitely the singles though, especially We Don't Talk Anymore! I had never listened to Foxes last album but thought I'd give her sophomore album All I Need a listen and surprisingly enjoyed, it was really strong throughout, unfortunately it was a commercial flop but I do hope we get more from her in the future! I've always disliked a lot of Kings of] Leon's output, especially the dreadful Use Somebody and Sex On Fire but I've had a massive turnaround this era, enjoying everything from Walls. Waste a Moment is probably their best track yet for me. Never Been Better was actually only a #21 EOY back in 2014 and whilst 24 HRS manages to best that, I do still far prefer his previous album to this, it is a little disappointing as a lot of the tracks mould into one but they're all solid and he's one of the most likeable guys around, his material has been so much better in the past though... However, Meghan Trainor doesn't manage to beat her last album's EOY playing of #8 with Title, as she drops out at #16 here with Thank You. The difference in quality is far greater though as Title is pretty fantastic and I'm much less enthusiastic about Thank You, it was OK but I didn't go back to it much at all and nothing grabbed me in the same way her previous singles did, at least we got one good thing from this though, 'No'. November 30, 20168 yr I adore Nine Track Mind! I didn't expect to like it quite as much as I do but Charlie has been one of the best artists of the past year for me
December 1, 20168 yr Glad to see The Lumineers here! 'Ophelia' is indeed lovely, especially the video. I was lucky enough to see them live this year. Out of the ones revealed so far, Kings Of Leon's album is the one I'm most interested in hearing, having only heard 'Waste A Moment' and 'Around The World' both of which are fab.

You should definitely give Walls a try too because it is pretty great, Waste a Moment is 100% the main highlight for me though <3 Thanks Jordan! I adore Nine Track Mind! I didn't expect to like it quite as much as I do but Charlie has been one of the best artists of the past year for me  I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was either, especially after not enjoying See You Again very much at all. He's very likeable as an artist too ! Thanks Joseph!

BASTILLE - WILD WORLD Chart run: (1-2-3-3-3-6-7-7-2-2-3-3-...) 12 weeks (so far) Hit singles: 01 Good Grief (3-1-2-2-4-5-10-13-15-19-20-15-11-20-26-31-49-49-x) 18 weeks 12 Send Them Off! (12-16-19-20-34-38-47-27-37-46-x) 10 weeks Britney Spears is capable of some pretty fantastic pop beauties as showcased by her output in her early days and whilst much of Glory completely pales in comparison to all of that, there are still some nice catchy tracks on there. It's annoying because we know she can do so much better but the music isn't half bad really at the end of the day. Hoping we get a few more singles yet from this campaign. I can't say I've ever been a fan of Rebecca Ferguson before outside of her glorious voice and also Backtrack which is realy good but I had a bit of free time and thought I'd give Superwoman a listen and was pleasantly surprised, her voice is of course gorgeous on every track and each song was a lot more exciting than I was expecting, a huge shame her commercial viability seems to be decreasing as time goes on. Shawn Mendes' last album was a big disappointment for me as I found it pretty boring but his latest album, Illuminate clicked with me from the beginning really, it has lovely vocals and Shawn seems like a really nice guy. It's a shame it doesn't have more uptempos similar to Treat You Better (which you can see I adored by that chart run) but what we got was very enjoyable nevertheless. Just like Rebecca Ferguson, I've never been the hugest fan of TDCC either aside from a few singles (namely Sleep Alone) but Gameshow also really surprised me, a solid indie album with plenty of highlights, I hope they push a few more singles yet, especially as Bad Decisions is probably the weakest track on the whole thing for me. Bad Blood was one of my favourite albums in years and whilst the follow up Wild World was a little disappointing to begin with, it definitely grew on me over time, especially after seeing them perform live at the O2 last month. It is still a little on the long side so can get a little boring but there are plenty of highlights, let's hope we get like 8 singles again like the last time around
December 1, 20168 yr Illuminate and Glory!! The latter is Britney's best album since Blackout at least, maybe since In the Zone. It feels like it's had a lot of thought put into it, much more so than Britney Jean and it really pays off

The Balcony was a #10 EOY in 2014 so The Ride actually manages to outdo it here by one place, both albums are pretty much on par for me as they are both similar in sound, this is basically just an extension to their debut but it's all quality stuff so I was happy. Blossoms weren't even on my radar 'til about half way through the year but they quickly became one of my favourites with some quality singles and their album is packed with good stuff too, solid indie music. Another bad that I've always thought I disliked is Coldplay but two FANTASTIC singles made me give A Head Full of Dreams a listen and I did a complete U-turn on them. The singles since then haven't been so good but the album is enjoyable from start to finish and never got old, hence its very healthy chart run on my chart. And finally just missing out on the top 5 is This is Acting by Sia. 1000 Forms of Fear really made me take notice of her but that only made #27 on 2014's EOY whereas this does far better, full of catchy hooks and soaring vocals, the album is a treat to the ears. Oops at that Alive chart run though  Really not one of her best :/ Edited December 2, 20168 yr by Josh.
