Same with Sia although Move Your Body is the hit that never was :nono: A Head Full Of Dreams is really really really fab :heart:
December 4, 20168 yr 24 HOURS has turned out to be one of my favourite albums of the year, surprisingly. His singles choices have been woeful so far but some of the more upbeat stuff sounds MASSIVE ─ I guarantee he'll get at least one #1 out of that album. This Is Acting is a given, nobody can deny how good it is and I've been loving all the extra tracks Sia's been putting out to add to the era. Such a great artist :wub: Catfish being here is good to see, Twice and 7 are my favourites. Wild World :wub: Glad I can talk to you about seeing them because you have too :heehee: What did you think of the show? I'm assuming they performed a similar set where you were but either way, I though Warmth was immense, his vocals for the chorus are amazing. In general, the whole album was performed immaculately, especially Send Them Off and Snakes (obviously both are loud, sing a long anthems). Not exclusively talking about Wild World, the ending with Pompeii was amazing and made me cry, and I loved the performances of Icarus, Flaws, Laura Palmer, and Of The Night too. Overall it was an AMAZING show, the best I've ever been to and it's amazing to see how much they're progressed since I saw them at the start of 2014. The album is great on its own too, good to see that high :D Fab countdown so far Josh!

I think he'll be lucky if he even gets a top 10 hit though unless he gets another good XF performance and it's really well received, at least his album's holding up really well so far. Yeah, The Greatest his probably her second best track for me ever now behind Elastic Heart, so glad she did the re-release so we got that because Cheap Thrills and Alive were disappointments for me really. Twice and Outside are probably my top tracks from it, I've never been huge on 7 at all actually, all the singles from their debut were definitely stronger though. Cocoon :wub: The show was a fantastic night, Dan is such a sweetheart too and he sounds great live. Good Grief was probably my favourite track that was performed but the crowd was loving every track. LADY GAGA - JOANNE Chart run: (1-1-1-1-2-2-...) 6 weeks (so far) Hit singles: 05 Perfect Illusion / (5-5-27-32-x) 4 weeks After listening to Artpop, I turned into quite the little fan of Lady Gaga during her last era because her highs are always so high even though the last album was a bit of a mess. This album solves that problem as it's all very cohesive and nothing is just outright terrible like Donatella or Swine. There are still really high highs but the rest of the tracks are all various levels of lovely or catchy or touching and there are really no weak points. Perfect Illusion is probably one of the weakest tracks on the album and I went off it reallt quickly as you can see by the above chart run but hopefully Million Reasons will have a bit of staying power and actually be a chart hit unlike its predecessor. I've been hyped for this album since it was announced and it really has not disappointed, some of the tracks are so polished and catchy and personality-filled that they feel like career highlight tracks already. I'm really hoping we get a five or more single campaign era with this because there are so many tracks capable of being huge hits. There a few lows in this that feel a bit dull in comparison to Get Weird so I won't declare it their best yet but largely it's an incredible album and I'm so pleased with all the success the girls are having with it. It's the perfect mix of numerous genres, great features, flawless vocals and pure star power that make Ariana one of the most exciting popstars around with this album. Three excellent singles in a row showcase how strong most of this album is and she has a whole heap of choices for the next singles too. The chart run benefitted quite a bit from being a weaker time of year for album releases and had a relatively good window of dead weeks aside from Sia's This Is Acting coming out the week after this. We had been waiting years for this album to finally come out and it really didn't disappoint. Despite me preferring the likes of Loud and Talk That Talk to this as a whole, this album probably flows the best of all of her albums and you can tell it's the sort of music she would like to be making. Like all Rihanna albums, it has massive highs (mainly the singles) and a few tracks that aren't quite as good but none I really dislike on here which is always a good thing. Following on from the dreadful Unapologetic, this is definitely a huge return to form for her imo. Highlights - Consideration - Same Ol' Mistakes - Love On the Brain - Kiss It Better - Work http://i.imgur.com/yoeKzzO.png 01. BEYONCÉ - LEMONADE Chart run: (1-1-1-1-2-2-2-3-3-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-5-6-7-7-8-8-8-x) 25 weeks Hit singles: 01 Hold Up / (1-2-5-6-6-9-12-19-28-34-35-42-47-x) 13 weeks 03 Formation / (29-6-4-4-5-10-9-13-21-27-37-6-3-8-10-9-6-7-8-14-29-33-45-49-x) 24 weeks 08 Sorry / (8-11-19-18-19-29-36-49-x) 8 weeks This is an album I expect to be seeing high up in quite a lot of EOYs this year and deservedly so as Beyoncé managed to create another surprise visual album on the same very high level of quality as her self-titled album in 2013. This album is a lot more personal than her others and she uses the power of lyrics and spoken word throughout to convey its key themes. It's a perfect mix of a bit of everything and takes you on the journey of her tumultous relationship with her husband from the angry, jealous emotions from her first finding about his affair to the forgiving, loving ballads towards the end. There are numerous highlights on this album and nothing particurlarly stands out as weak but my favourites are definitely the sassier, angrier tracks. Don't Hurt Yourself is my absolute favourite but Sorry, Hold Up and 6 Inch are all cemented as Bey classics for me now. December 9, 20168 yr I'm not much of an album listener so I'll just get right to the 15 bubbling under songs! 114 | All Saints - "One Strike" I absolutely LOVE their comeback and this deserved to get so much more attention! Beautiful production and their vocals are perfect here. Definitely among my favorite comebacks of the year. 113 | Blonde f/ Craig David - "Nothing Like This" Here's another artist who made a comeback in 2016 (well sort of - I think it was december 2015) and a great one as well! 'Nothing Like This' was a banger and a half for sure, thanks to the production of the superb Blonde. 112 | Twenty One Pilots - "Stressed Out" I loved this and then I kind of hated it. Overexposure on radio can do that to a song. I definitely prefer both 'Heathens' and 'Ride' to this one but it was fun for a while until I got absolutely sick of it. 111 | Christine & The Queens - "Tilted" This is one of the biggest surprises of 2016 for me. I never would have expected this to blow up like it did but I'm very glad because it's very much deserved. 110 | The Chainsmokers f/ Halsey - "Closer" I touched down on this in another countdown but I feel like this is a bit of a non-event and I'm still surprised 'Closer' managed to become the massive hit it became because I definitely thought this would be a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of moment. 109 | MK f/ Becky Hill - "Piece Of Me" Becky Hill is amazing. Her voice is one of my favorite voices in popular music today and I'm SO glad EDM artists are hearing what I'm hearing and using her. I just wish this had gotten more attention by the public. She deserves to be HUGE. 107 | Lady Gaga - "Perfect Illusion" Lady Gaga's comeback was.. disappointing for me. I expected big things from Gaga and this song and that album are like the absolute opposite of what I was hoping for. 'Perfect Illusion' got greatly on my nerves upon first listen, it felt repetitive and unappealing and still does even though it's grown a little bit on me. 105 | Imani Williams - "Don't Need No Money" Lots of women named Imani and Imany getting attention in 2016 lmao. This is such a fun pop song and definitely shows a bit of just this carefree nature that needs more representation in music today lol. I love it. 104 | Kiiara - "Gold" This is one of the coolest songs of 2016 by far. Kiiara delivers this effortlessly and it's definitely a highlight of what this year had to offer in terms of "swag" lol. I remember being so amazed when I heard it first, I was hooked already.

Hoping she gets a solo hit some time soon though. 107 - I've been really impressed with the album but this track is probably one of the worst on there, went off it really quickly! 105 - It is a lot of fun indeed, I hope we get a second single from her soon, been a while.. 104 - It definitely has this effortless cool factor to it, a shame it never took off here like it did in the US. Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling / (15-9-10-11-13-20-32-x) 7 weeks White Tiger - A year back, Izzy Bizu was tipped for big things in 2016 and although that never really came into fruition, we still got the wonderful White Tiger from her. The highlights of this being the quirky chorus and also how much she looks like a star. Shame we never really heard much from her again but hopefully there's still time for her to come back with something even better! Follow You - Can't say I've ever taken much notice of Bring Me The Horizon whatsoever beforehand but this era I really enjoyed their singles especially. This is probably the best of the lot imo and it ended up building up quite a nice chart run for itself in my personal chart. It has a nice chorus especially and it sounded great on the radio, loved hearing it in the car. I Know What You Did Last Summer - Shawn Mendes has been one of my favourite stars this year and this has definitely contributed to that. Although Stitches and TYB are by far his best, it's tracks like this and Mercy (also still yet to come) which have solidified him as a pop staple at the moment. It's a nice little back-and-forth track with a catchy chorus, what's not to like! Birch Tree - Foals have been consistently creating solid music for quite some while now but I must say that Birch Tree has been my favourite track from them in quite some time. It all just feels so light and airy, very easy to listen to and it has a very nice tune too. Ophelia - The Lumineers had surprise success with Ho Hey from their last era and I was really hoping this track would pick up some support too but sadly it did not. It has this lovely little twinkly vibe to it which makes it feel really special. Definitely an underrated track and a huge shame not many people even got to hear it. Bitter Salt - Not my favourite Jake Bugg track of the year (still one track of his to come) but Bitter Salt had always been one of my highlights from his recent album so I was really pleased when it was announced as a single. It's quite loud and noisy in production but it all works when put together and he sounds great on it. Snake Eyes - Always quite disliked Mumford & Sons but with their change of sound, they ended up losing quite a lot of fans whilst they gained a big new one in me. All of the singles from it were pretty fantastic but aside from Believe, this is definitely one of the next best tracks on the album. It has lovely guitar parts and it's all very relaxing and chill <3 One Dance - One of the most polarising tracks of the year, a lot of us chart fans are sick to death of it after its monster run in the official charts but in all honesty, if it comes on the radio, I do still kind of jam to it. I'm not sure that it would be reaching the heights of #4 in my charts ever again like it did upon release but it's still got a nice little tune. The far greater Too Good is still to come, of course! At Night (I Think About You) - Aside from Never Forget You, MNEK has never stood out to me so far but this really took me surprise by how good it was. As usual with his stuff, the production was top notch but something else clicked with this which made me enjoy a lot more whereas his other tracks leave me feeling a bit cold. Then of course he followed this up with a cover and ruined everything again :D Can't Stop the Feeling - One of the most popular tracks of summer 2016 amongst the general public, CSTF is certainly one of the happiest songs this year. It sneaked a couple of weaks in my top 10 but I did go off it a bit quickly as it began to be a bit overplayed. I still like hearing it now and it does just spread pure joy but ultimately does feel a little old already :(
December 9, 20168 yr Hey Josh! :D I Know What You Did Last Summer is my highlight of this section, although I must say it's my least favourite Shawn single so far! Shame it missed the official top 40 but it had such a messy release, it peaked on Spotify months before its single push :drama: White Tiger is a really nice song, I love how quirky it is, shame it didn't make much more of an impact!

December 10, 20168 yr One Dance is such a massive tune :music: But overplay has dampened it a bit. I Know What You Did Last Summer is brilliant, mainly due to Camila. It is the only Shawn song I've liked so far.
