Singing a lot to the middle 8 is the best part of the whole song
December 19, 20168 yr Nice to see Charlmagne & Waste a Moment here, two songs I would really have liked to see go Top 40 officially! Do It Right was a great dance tune as well :music:
December 19, 20168 yr absolutely love 'Do It Right', it "only" peaked at #3 for me but it'll appear a lot higher in my EOY :kink: Not huge on those MO and Dua Lipa songs, they're quite weak in their discography.
December 19, 20168 yr Author absolutely love 'Do It Right', it "only" peaked at #3 for me but it'll appear a lot higher in my EOY :kink: Not huge on those MO and Dua Lipa songs, they're quite weak in their discography. Hi Dan Omg, they're the two best tracks from Mo and Dua for me, unfortunately both underrated though :( Thanks for commenting! Birch Tree [10.0] (I have all of Foals' studio albums on CD [My copy of What Went Down got signed by the band]) Youth [10.0] (Did you know that Glass Animals and Foals are both from Oxford) Worship [9.5] (Communion was a great album, and though I like Meteorite, it's kinda inferior compared to the album) Drum [8.5] (I remember the time when I confused MO [singer] for M.O [girl group] :kink:)Hi Dalek! Ah, that's really cool. I've been enjoying Foals loads lightly, a signed copy would look great on my shelf  I did not know that! That's not even far from where I live, two great bands there! Meteorite is definitely inferior to the rest of their stuff, it's nice enough but ultimately just a bit boring. Bet you won't be doing that anymore now they've both made quite a name for themselves, think the girl group is my fav though  Thanks for commenting! Mercy, Drum, We Don't Talk Anymore, Ride, Waste A Moment, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Worship and Send them off are just some highlights inside your top 100, Worship wasn't far off my top 100 actually, shame because it deserved to do better officially even as 5 or 6th single or whatever. Titled & Stressed Out in the 'miss out' are also superb and will be appearing much higher in mine but where I'll keep that a secret till you see ;) Oh Cant Stop The Feeling was a #1 for me so expect that to show up. Not a fan of JT usually but this and Mirrors he has won me a fan in, in this decade! Just noticed we're SNAP with Izzy Bizu btw :o Hi Rob Glad you're enjoying so many tracks. Worship should've been one of the first singles I think, it sounds like a smash to me. JT can be a lot of fun but those two tracks are just a bit too overplayed for me now. :P Thanks!! Jake's masterpiece, it's so sad but so beautiful at the same time. Really love this song, it was number 1 in my personal chart. Hi Jason Certainly his best track for me too, hoping it appears high in your EOY too! :D Thanks! Hi Josh, 'Here' is a great anti social party anthem just I personally prefer Scars To Your Beautiful now though  'Charlemange' is one of the year's great indie output for sure  'Dancing On My Own' is fantastic really do not understand the hate for it  'We Don't Talk Anymore' Remains Charlie's best for me so well done and his and Selena's vocals go well together  :o 'Girls Like' is such a Jam for me I couldnt get enough of it when it was out. Singing a lot to the middle 8 is the best part of the whole song :heart:Hiya Harry Yeah, STYB is a nice track but her other two singles are definitely stronger for me, they have the catchy factor. Charlemagne is one of my fav indie tracks for sure, hope Blossoms have a great 2017 too. DOMO is so underrated here, I don't get why everyone hates it so much, especially when it's so much better than Robyn's original. WDTO is his best for me too although I love One Call Away, he does have some very catchy tracks. The middle 8 is of course the best part for me too, definitely the strongest moment in the track  Thanks for commenting :D Nice to see Charlmagne & Waste a Moment here, two songs I would really have liked to see go Top 40 officially! Do It Right was a great dance tune as well :music: Hi Pete Yeah, I thought WAM might have got a bit closer but it doesn't look like they'll be getting big hits anymore. It's so much better than the likes of Sex On Fire and USe Somebody though :( Thanks for commenting!

Galantis - No Money / (13-13-16-21-30-14-14-15-19-24-28-45-49-xx[1]-49-x) 14 weeks 60. Sigma - Stay / (8-9-17-22-32-36-41-x) 7 weeks Say You Do - Sigala have had some cracking tunes so far but I think that Say You Do may well be their best yet for me. It is pure joy in the form of song and it never fails to put me in a good mood. The 'doo, doo, doo' parts are definitely my favourite. Too Good - Rihanna and Drake are quite the dream team and never fail to put out something good imo but in comparison to the likes of Take Care and Work, this does not quite hit the same mark for me. It is a very enjoyable song for me still hence the high placing but it just isn't as amazing if I had to rank them. No - Meghan was pretty bad this year after such a fantastic era last time around but I still did enjoy No quite a bit. Stripped of a lot of her fun and quirky personality and tongue in cheek lyrics but it still had a catchy pop chorus which is more than can be said for her other stuff this era. Into You - Into You has been one of Ariana's most popular and successful singles this year but for me it has always been one of the weakest tracks from the album. Of course, it is still incredibly strong and has a great chorus but there are plenty of tracks I would've chosen as a single before this. My Way - My Way was quite instant for me, mainly due to its repetitive hook which made it become stuck in my head all day, every day. However , that didn't work in its favour as it soon became old due to its repetitive nature and felt like it had been around for years when in reality, it was only about a month  Hands to Myself - I didn't even realise this had SUCH a long run on my personal chart but it seems it got a bit of a second wind towards the end of its run. I always enjoyed it from the album but it really clicked with me when released as a single. I love how fun and playful it is, 'I mean I could but why would I want to ;)' is like my favourite thing  Ain't My Fault - Zara has had a fantastic this year and she still has one track to come but AMF does very well for itself too, it has a cracking chorus and I love all the ad libs towards the end too. It sounds SO good when you play it loud. Rockabye - This has been slaying the UK charts at the moment but doesn't do so well here. It still does pretty great though and it has had a lengthy top 10 chart run so far. It has a nice chorus, with an actual storyline which is rare for songs nowadays. Sean's ad libs are also *-* No Money - I talked about pure joy in song form with Say You Do and that is pretty much what Galantis manage to create with all of their singles. They never seem to get old for me either and they always have long chart runs in my personal charts. They still don't have a top 10 peaker for me but I'm sure one day they will, the long runs are very promising. Stay - Stay kind of went unnoticed and it did absolutely nothing in the charts which is a shame for such a strong track. It's a bit faceless and not that different to other dance tracks but it is just a bit of a banger really, shame it's so under-appreciated :(

December 19, 20168 yr Stay [8.0] No Money [8.5] (I heard this song play on ROBLOX Epic Minigames) Rockabye [9.0] Ain't My Fault [5.5] Hands To Myself [5.0] My Way [9.5] Into You [??] No [5.5] Too Good [5.5] Say You Do [9.0]
December 19, 20168 yr Into You is such a jam, far too low. I'm so impressed with how much I love Rockabye too given my aversion to Sean Paul, but it's undeniable *.*
December 19, 20168 yr Hey Josh! From the last couple of sections ~ Drum is definitely my least favourite MØ song of her recent(ish) releases, I prefer Final Song and Kamikaze but it's still a good song, gutted it flopped as much as it did :( NO is my favourite Meghan song so far  but I agree, she was underwhelming this year after such a fantastic debut :( Also LOVE Into You, Hands to Myself, Ain't My Fault and Rockabye from that last section!
December 20, 20168 yr Dancing On My Own is such an unfairly hated song. I think the Robyn version is so much more dull. I find Callum's vocal's so much more interesting on this version. Charlemagne is great. One of the best indie-type songs of the year. It was brilliant to see them get 2 weeks at the top of the album chart too. :o Here was one of my favourite songs last year. I was delighted that it started to pick up and become a minor chart hit at the start of the year. :D Ain't My Fault was another brilliant song from Zara. She has had such a brilliant year. Never Forget You remains the only song I've heard from her that I don't like. Hands To Myself. It's the video that won my over fully with this song. The line you mentioned is easily the best part of the song too. My Way is so good for a Calvin Harris song. I loved Calvin's first few songs (The Girls, Acceptable In the 80's & the Dizzee collabs) but think he's just been getting worse and worse since then. This is the first song I've enjoyed by him since Drinking From The Bottle. Into You is a massive contender for my song of the year. It is the perfect pop song. Too Good might have overtaken Take Care in the Drake/Rihanna collabs for me. Although it was huge it did seem to get overshadowed slightly by One Dance which was a shame.
December 21, 20168 yr 070 | Calum Scott - "Dancing On My Own" Ugh I grew so bored of this so quickly. Original is so much better but still this gets much more attention, it's criminal. 068 | Dua Lipa - "Last Dance" Dua Lipa is really one of my breakout stars of 2016 and 'Last Dance' is my second fave after 'Be The One' from her. Hope 2017 is an even better year for her! 064 | Martin Solveig ft. Tkay Maidza - "Do It Right" Nice dance song but didn't quite click as well for me as 'Intoxicated' did. Martin is always on top form though and this is no exception production wise. 063 | Alessie Cara - "Here" Alessia has had a great year this year and I'm glad she got her breakthrough via 'Here', but I'm really hoping 'Scars To Your Beautiful' takes off soon! 059 | Galantis - "No Money" These guys never fail to deliver a fun song with ridiculous but carefree lyrics and 'No Money' is no different. It took a while to sink in for me but once it did I absolutely loved it. 058 | Clean Bandit ft. Anne-Marie & Sean Paul - "Rockabye" Omg I'm so glad we got new Clean Bandit stuff this year and really 'Rockabye' is one of their best to date. Although it doesn't quite stack up against 'Rather Be', it's quite the smash nonetheless! 057 | Zara Larsson - "Ain't My Fault" After a great year and a half Zara has quickly become one of my favorite singers out there. I was a tad disappointed with this at first but I got over that feeling quickly lol as I love it now. 056 | Selena Gomez - "Hands To Myself" Selena has been a strange one for me lately as I've either loved or disliked all of her songs to date. 'Hands' is a song that I loved, but it's strange as I wouldn't have thought I'd like it at all haha. 055 | Calvin Harris - "My Way" I like it when Calvin uses his own voice and I honestly prefer this much more to 'This Is What You Came For' which is just a generic mess, but it's still not on par with his older stuff! 054 | Ariana Grande - "Into You" I'll be honest, Ariana's newest album is probably my favorite of hers to date because she's released banger after banger with the exception of the lead single 'Focus' lol. 'Into You' is probably in my Top 10 for this year! Pop perfection. 053 | Meghan Trainor - "No" Although I definitely enjoyed Meghan's last era with the 60's throwback, I'm definitely into this new era as well with the 00's throwback which is especially present on this track! Feels like it could have smashed 10 years ago, which makes it even cooler imo. 052 | Sigala ft. Imani Williams & DJ Fresh - "Say You Do" Probably my favorite Sigala smash to date. I love the sample and I love Imani's vocals. Just a fun, happy dance song like all their songs, but it's just so insanely catchy. Edited December 21, 20168 yr by jafetsigfinns
December 21, 20168 yr great section there! Say You Do is such a joyful upbeat song so of course I was going to love it, although out of Sigala's four Top 10s it's actually my leas favourite. Too Good is a choon, I think Take Care is a better crafted song though and Work is just a total jam so I agree with you there. I really loved 'My Way' even if it's very repetitive. Although it isn't quite as good as TIWYCF, I do like that Calvin still sings sometimes. Hands to Myself was my fave Selena Gomez song but I think Trust Nobody may be overtaking that soon, it's growing a lot. Ain't My Fault, Rockabye and No Money all total jams also :music: Rockabye should make a big impact in my 2017 EOY. :D

Kamikaze is my favourite of the lot with Drum not far behind for me, I wish it was a similar sized hit to Final Song though :( I still far prefer Lips Are Movin and Dear Future Husband so it would slot in third for me, still a solid pop tune. Thanks!! Dancing On My Own is such an unfairly hated song. I think the Robyn version is so much more dull. I find Callum's vocal's so much more interesting on this version. Charlemagne is great. Yeah, I was so pleased when Blossoms even got one week at #1 in the albums and two weeks was even better, so glad they've had such a successful debut era. I think NFY is probably still the best track she's featured on for me although Lush Life isn't far behind, love how quickly she's been getting hits though at the moment :D Selena's videos I usually find quite boring but she looks so good in them so I can overlook that, glad she's had such a massive era, especially in the US. I'm a massive Calvin fan and pretty much adore all his tracks so My Way is kind of weak for me. His two Florence collabs are still his two best for me. Take Care is definitely stronger for me, it's like the original Drahanna track  It is so much better than OD though so shame it got overshadowed :( Thanks for commenting! 070 | Calum Scott - "Dancing On My Own" Ugh I grew so bored of this so quickly. Into You is probably the weakest single from her in the last couple years for me so not a bad track record at all! 53 Eh, I preferred her doo-wop sound a lot more. I still revisit Lips Are Movin all the time  52 They seem to be producing some really catchy dance tunes at the moment, Only One is definitely a continuation of that ! :) Thanks for commenting :D great section there! For me it goes SYD > Easy Love > Sweet Lovin > GMYL but they're all great  Work is going to be way higher in this list so glad you approve :P TIWYCF has become one of my favourite Calvin songs to date now, I absolutely love it. My Way has been great but one of his weakest for me. I've been enjoying Trust Nobody too at the moment but some of her solo tracks are way better imo, she's a bit of a guilty pleasure  Thanks for commenting! Edited December 21, 20168 yr by Josh.

Popcaan - I'm In Control / (19-3-6-9-13-23-31-35-40-47-x) 10 weeks Who Knows - I was really hoping that this would become a huge hit because it sounds massive but ultimately that never happened but at least I got to enjoy it a lot. I just love how catchy it is, it was stuck in my head for weeks! Perfect Strangers - Jonas Blue have had a great 2016 and this manages to beat their most recent single by 2 places here. It's another example of a simple but catchy dance tune done well and I'm glad it was such a big UK hit too. Shame it couldn't hit the top spot despite being fairly close. Heathens - I mentioned earlier that Heathens was my favourite Suicide Squad soundtrack song and here it drops out in the top 50, also making it the highest Twenty One Pilots track. It had a stellar run on my personal chart racking up quite a few weeks in the top 10. By Your Side - I'm sure in time this will probably become my favourite Jonas Blue track and it managed to do what PS didn't and make #1 on my personal chart. It is very similar to TIWYCF which I think is why I enjoy it so much, that track won't be popping up for a fair while yet though. When We Were Young - I usually don't LOVE many Adele singles but this year she's had to great tracks, one of which is still yet to come. WWWY is a beautifully sung ballad and the lyrics are probably my favourite part of it. It's a shame this wasn't her SMLY as that is very overrated. Team - Iggy Azalea came back in 2016 and everybody kind of ignored her but I actually really enjoyed Team, it had a great sing-along chorus and the raps had fairly good flow. She's no Nicki Minaj of course but there's definitely room for both! Wild Things - Wild Things is just forgotten about now but I really wish it caught on more because I still really love it. I can't even put my finger on why I like it so much but it all comes together really well. The 'hey, hey, hey' bits are my favourites though. Sorry - Beyoncé pretty much stole the show in 2016 and despite coming as high as #48, Bey still has two tracks to come in this year's countdown after already making #1 on the EOY albums list. Sorry is already pretty iconic for the way it scalps 'Becky with the good hair' but the whole song is packed with sass and it's a lot of fun to lip sync. Needed Me - Needed Me was one of Rihanna's smaller hits on my personal chart but still did well and hung around for quite a while in the end with an impressive four month run. It was one of my highlights from the album anyway so it debuted pretty high but I continued to love it after getting a video which is why it got a bit of a second wind. I'm In Control - I'm In Control is the definition of a cool track and AlunaGeorge really pull off the sound and look well much to their credit. I was really pleased it turned into a bit of a chart hit too which was unexpected but unfortunately they didn't get any more hits from this era despite two more excellent singles ! :( Edited December 21, 20168 yr by Josh.
December 21, 20168 yr I have listened to Into You, but I can't decide which rating to give (either a 5.5 or 6.0) I'm In Control [8.5] Needed Me [5.5] Sorry [7.0] Wild Things [7.5] Team [5.5] When We Were Young [7.5] By Your Side [7.5] Heathens [7.0] (I saw an image on Instagram with this Messenger conversation: A: What is the 21 pilots song where they sing "All my friends are eating steak and snow" B: "WHAT THE F*** DID YOU JUST ASK ME?" ) And I saw a lot of dank memes of this song too. Perfect Strangers [9.0] Who Knows (Shy FX Remix) [9.0]

December 21, 20168 yr Hey again Josh! :D I like Team but I wanted more from an Iggy comeback single, she brought out so many great singles in 2013-2015 :( Definitely deserved way better than it got in the charts though! I was so surprised at how much I loved I'm in Control! It's close between that and Mean What I Mean for my fave Aluna single but both are so so good. Keep it coming :D
December 21, 20168 yr Jonas Blue times two! :music: 'By Your Side' is great although it still hasn't impacted my top 40 yet, I'm sure it will once the Christmas and EOY effect are out though. 'Team' was disappointing from Iggy, shame because she had potential to be truly massive but seemed to blow it very quickly. AlunaGeorge :music: They've been great this year. I wasn't that fussed on 'Needed Me' tbh, strange how it was such a huge US hit. ~

I think she still has a chance of a good comeback if she does it soon but I'm worried she'll be forgotten before long. I was shocked at how well Needed Me did in the US too, it had so many weeks top 10 in the end. I wish it did better here though, it's not her best but deserved more that a couple weeks top 40 ! Yeah, I was so pleased when IIC made the top 40, I wish it took off a bit like Attracting Flies though :( Thanks for commenting PEte! HELLO catching up ~ 01. BEYONCÉ - LEMONADE 02. RIHANNA - ANTI 03.
