53. Jack Garratt - Worry

Weeks On (Top 15): 4 / Peak: 1 / Total Points: 174

Jack Garratt's 2016:

53. Worry

175. Breathe Life

This was the track that relieved 7 Years of it's #1 after its record 3 weeks! Garratt did take a bit of a downturn after this (seeing as how good Breathe Life was), but this is still a tune!

52. EFF - Stimme

Weeks On (Top 15): 5 / Peak: 4 / Total Points: 175

EFF's 2016:

52. Stimme

Okay, I made a mistake about Felix Jaehn only having one entry in the Top 100, because obviously he teamed up with Mark Forster to form EFF! This was the first foreign language song in my chart (with many more to follow), but I don't this song would be the same if it was in English!

That Nervous remix was pretty good! Shouldn't work but his falsetto with the laid back production worked very well.

I never fully clicked with Stimme but listening back to it it's a pretty damn good track!

51. Fearless (Gromee ft. May-Britt Scheffer)

It took a while to fully pay attention to this track, but it is a great dance piece!

Stimme is wonderful, definitely one of my favourite foreign (is that how you spell it? I've spent like a minute trying to spell it.) language tracks of the year

Mick Fousé's 2016:

50. Time Is Up (Luca Schreiner ft. Mick Fousé)

So we kick off our Top 50 with one of my most recent Number 1s! I think it was the catchy chorus that made me like this song so much, but it did wear off on me quite quickly after that :(

I haven't heard that Gromee song but I really like his new one Spirit!

I would definitely recommend giving it a listen!

Thanks Dobbo :D (and thanks for the other comments as well)

Yep, that;s how you spell foreign

Thanks mdh :D

And just when you thought MIKA had disappeared... :kink:

47. The Strumbellas - Spirits

Weeks On (Top 15): 3 / Peak: 4 / Total Points: 179 Plus 50 Bonus Points

The Strumbellas' 2016:

47. Spirits

Yep, this is the song that recieved 50 bonus points and shot into the Top 100! It only spent 3 weeks in my then Top-15, but it's one of those songs that I had going around in my head for months afterwards, and one of the first songs I thought of hen compiling this EOY!

46. Sigala ft. John Newman & Nile Rodgers - Give Me Your Love

Weeks On (Top 15): 5 / Peak: 1 / Total Points: 179

Sigala's 2016:

48. Give Me Your Love (ft. John Newman & Nile Rodgers)

75. Don't Need No Money (Imani Williams ft. Sigala & Blonde)

163. Ain't Giving Up (Craig David & Sigala)

John Newman's 2016:

48. Give Me Your Love (Sigala ft. John Newman & Nile Rodgers)

Nile Rodgers' 2016:

48. Give Me Your Love (Sigala ft. John Newman & Nile Rodgers)

This song managed to beat all of the Lukas Graham album tracks to #1, and stay there for 2 weeks! I have no idea why I was into it so much though, Sweet Lovin' & Easy Love are much better.

Hi Pete

I do like GMLY and think it's quite catchy but I would say it's probably one of my least favourites from Sigala along with Ain't Giving Up, the others are all utter bangers, my favourites being Easy Love and Say You Do

Worry is probably still my favourite Jack Garratt track but he had a great run of singles from this album, a shame he never really caught on even after Sound of/Critic's Choice etc. because he is really unique and his output is great, way better than this Rag'n'Bone Man who seems to be doing so well atm :(

I think I'd be more of a fan of Give Me Your Love with a different vocalist, I've never liked John Newman's voice  I much prefer the three Sigala singles that came before!

INNA's 2016:

My favourite INNA song (and surprisingly the only one to make my Top 40 this year), the world music influences in this are simply stunning!

I too prefer Easy Love to this, but I could never warm to Say You Do :(

At least Garratt got into the Top 100 with Worry, but I really wanted to see him become a household name :(

Thanks Josh :D

Like I said above, I too prefer Easy Love & Sweet Lovin', but Say You Do does nothing for me :(

Thanks Joseph :D

44. Bob Marley & The Wailers - Is This Love (LVNDSCAPE & Bolier Remix)

Chart Run: (22-8-1-3-10-22-40-) / Total Points: 181

Bob Marley's 2016:

44: Is This Love (LVNDSCAPE & Bolier Remix)

LVNDSCAPE's 2016:

44: Is This Love (Bob Marley - LVNDSCAPE & Bolier Remix)

Bolier's 2016:

44: Is This Love (Bob Marley - LVNDSCAPE & Bolier Remix)

To put it simply, this is AMAZING. To take a classic and givem it such a catchy tropical remix must require some skill! Although writing 'Bob Marley's 2016' is one of the wierdest things I've done to date

Give Me Your Love was great - although I must say it's probably my least favourite of his 4 top tens.
Is This Love is quite a nice tune, I thought it was really lazy and basic at first but the whistling parts lodged themselves in my head and it grew on me! Much better than remakes like The Mack.
Is This Love is a great tune. I've never really seemed to be able to get into Bob Marley's music but the dance edit worked so well. :D
