Comment: Fifth Harmony finish at 7 & 4 for the 2nd year running. :lol: This was released on my 18th birthday and I must admit that I spend too much of the day watching the video to this. :kink: This was so instant, I loved it on first listen. I was excited for new music from 5H after some great singles from the first album but I was still quite apprehensive. But this completely exceeded any expectations and fully confirmed myself and a massive stan of the group. Brilliant video, easily the best of their career.

Comment: This was by far the most comfortable #1 hit of the year. I listen to this more on release day then quite a few of my other #1s all year, (looking at you 3 Lions & Don't Mind). This was also quite easily my most played song of the year but some of that was definitely due to the hype of a new Ariana track and so there are two I loved more during the year. I love the slightly rock-y vibes to this. There's still another Ariana track to go so can she make it 3 consecutive years at the top?

Comment: So Ariana does not make it 3 years in a row. :o Despite the #1 debut, I wasn't absolutely sold on this originally. It wasn't until the album was released and this got a push as a single that I completely fell in love with it. As much as I do love Dangerous Woman, this really should have been the lead single, I have no doubts that this would have reached the top 10 if it had. This is pure pop perfection and looked like it was going to be the top song of the year until...

Comment: So my favourite song of the year goes to Little Mix. They've just got everything right this year. Debuting this with a performance on the X Factor, really meant that this release felt like an important moment and helped it debut at #1 officially and at #2 in my chart after only two full days. This had the longest run at #1 in my chart during 2016 and if wasn't for very tough competition from this year's #5, Broccoli it would have had an extra 2 weeks. This was the clear winner for my favourite song of the year, even with it only being released 11 weeks before the end and is what has put Little Mix back above Fifth Harmony as my favourite girl group. Huge congratulations to Little Mix, they become only the 3rd artist to have a lead EOY #1 after Ylvis & Ariana Grande.

I do love Touch but I think WFH & SOTME are better :) They're all great though

I agree over Into You. Dangerous Woman probably wouldn't have finished anywhere near as high if it wasn't the lead single.

:lol: Ylvis were my first ever EOY #1, they faced some very tough competition from Daft Punk, Macklemore, OneRepublic & 2 Chainz in what was an incredibly close top 5.
