October 8, 200620 yr Author 7 (from 6) Lily Allen - LDN http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDREG137.JPG Lily follows up the monumental success of her summer anthem 'Smile', which held the Top Spot for two weeks earlier this summer, with her new single 'LDN'. For many, 'LDN' was the introduction to what has turned out to be the hottest talent of the year. The now famous rhyming of 'Tesco' with 'alfresco' was just one of the many couplets in 'LDN' and other songs on her debut album that had reviewers reaching for their superlatives. The single is backed by fan favourite 'Nan You're A Window Shopper', which previously was only available on Lily's My Space site. - HMV LDN Video here: [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfD6jAoJrJg.swf track listing 1. October 8, 200620 yr Author 6 (from 2) The Killers - When You Were Young http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/KILLERSCDSPRE.JPG Chart-topping synth-rockers The Killers make their eagerly anticipated return with brand new single 'When You Were Young'. Branching out from the icy Anglophile sound of their debut album 'Hot Fuss', 'When You Were Young' draws folk influences from Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty, amongst others, for a more Americana sound, whilst still retaining all the skycraping steely guitars and impossibly euphoric choruses to produce a wonderfully intoxicating dose of pop sophistication and rock 'n' roll exhilaration. 'When You Were Young' is the first single to be taken from The Killers' sophomore album, 'Sam's Town', named after a casino in their hometown of Las Vegas. - HMV UK Release date: 18-9-2006 The Killers - When You Were Young [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5Zq3FSoDuk.swf Discussion thread here
