Do you all tend to pre-order the Deluxe edition? I hate paying £1.99 postage and the standard is the one most supermarkets stock so usually just get that. Mind you think my daughter's got Amazon Prime as she got it half-price as a student so if she still has it she can order me the Deluxe. Don't know why supermarkets can't order some of each in.

If it helps, I've preordered the deluxe edition from Tesco direct for £12 with free postage (and club card points!) - should be delivered on the delay of release.

I've heard rumours that Ed's getting sued for Castle On The Hill due to similarities of Lukas Graham's '7 Years'. Would be great if it is true :)
That would be utterly ridiculous, they just have similar themes. Loads of songs do... Then again Lukas Graham seem up themselves enough to think that they invented h concept of nostalgic songs.
I very much doubt this would happen, they wouldn't have a leg to stand on as beyond some similar themes, they're totally different tracks.

Lmao Lukus Graham trying to hold onto that last bit if relevancy :')

Nice try hennies.

"Divide" is now officially available on iTunes and Spotify for East Asian countries, Australia, and New Zealand.

"Nancy Mulligan" was my favourite track right now. I like the Irish folk feel on this song.

My early observation is that if "Perfect" is made a single, it'll be huge and sell albums by the truckload.

Ed said that he had a song that would be as big if not bigger than TOL and turns out he meant Perfect. Haven't heard it yet though. Any leaks yet?

Perfect sounds MASSIVE. Like this won't leave the top 10 all bloody year  It's absolutely incredible but I'll probably hate it when this happens.

Galway Girl is my favourite by far, followed by New Man, Shape Of You and Eraser. Overall it's a pretty decent album, at the moment I feel like it's a step down from 'x' but we'll see about that. A decent listen!

Proper album rating ~

08.5 Eraser

10.0 Castle on the Hill

09.5 Dive [This reminds me of a male "Love on the Brain"]

10.0 Shape of You

09.0 Perfect [this is obviously going to be #1 until the end of time]

10.0 Galway Girl [Actual Irish river dance anthem, I can't get enough of it]

06.0 Happier [typical Ed ballad really]

06.5 New Man

05.0 Hearts Don't Break Around Here [another typical Ed ballad]

07.0 What Do I Know?

03.0 How Would You Feel (Paean)

10.0 Supermarket Flowers [this wrecked me, lovely song and a very relatable message]

08.0 Barcelona [Ed singing in Spanish!!!!!]

08.5 Bibia Be Ye Ye

10.0 Nancy Mulligan [ACTUAL MIDDLE AGES ANTHEM!!! WHY IS THIS ONLY ON DELUXE?!]

06.0 Save Myself [slightly weak "Afire Love"]

Omg @ Bibia Ye Ye Ye, serve that calypso jam Ed *.*

He's done it again! Aside from a tiny dip in the middle this album is such high quality...the two Irish songs *.*

Supermarket Flowers is beautiful and heartbreaking and Perfect is so good...though it sort of reminds me of something Boyzone might release in 1998, albeit with far better lyrics. I think it's the strings...

09.0 Eraser

08.0 Castle On The Hill

05.0 Dive

06.0 Shape Of You

05.0 Perfect

02.0 Galway Girl (soz I hate this with a passion)

07.0 Happier

04.0 New Man (lyrics are tragic)

05.0 Hearts Don't Break Around Here

04.0 What Do I Know?

03.5 How Would You Feel (Paean)

01.0 Supermarket Flowers

05.0 Barcelona

07.0 Bibia Be Ye Ye

00.0 Nancy Mulligan

02.0 Save Myself

I'll keep 'Eraser' and 'Castle On The Hill'. The rest is trash.

Really enjoyable album, enjoyed it a lot more on second listen actually as the songs started to stand out individually to me. Hearts Don't Break Around Here is my favourite of the new songs, not getting enough love on here. Galway Girl, What Do I Know? and Supermarket Flowers are my other faves on the standard album, plus the first three deluxe tracks are all solid. I think it's a more consistent album than x actually!
