Tuesday 31st October

BBC 1

19:00 The One Show - 3.79m (21.4%)

19:30 EastEnders - 5.52m (29.0%)

20:00 Holby City - 3.55m (15.8%)

21:00 Our Girl - 3.41m (17.7%)

ITV (inc. +1)

19:00 Emmerdale - 5.58m (31.5%)

19:30 Countrywise - 2.55m (13.4%)

20:00 Midsomer Murders (Repeat) - 1.59m (7.6%)

Channel 4 (inc. +1)

20:00 The Great British Bake Off Final - 7.74m (34.5%) [Peak: 8.88m (37.9%)] [Exc. +1: 7.25m (32.4%)]

Our Girl has averaged 3.64m across the four episodes this series - apparently it returns early next year and then again later in the year, but I'm unsure whether these episodes are classed as Series 3 or not.

Fantastic rating for Bake Off (even if I was hoping for a figure starting with an 8) and a really strong peak too! That's the highest C4 rating since Big Fat Gypsy Weddings on 8 February 2011. Needs a 2.26m time-shift to hit 10m and, if it passes the 10.01m that the Big Brother Final got in 2002, it would be the highest ever official rating for C4.

Bake Off averaged 6.19m this series.

Thursday 2nd November

BBC 1

19:00 The One Show - 3.45m (19.3%)

19:30 EastEnders - 5.76m (30.8%)

20:00 Harry Styles at the BBC - 1.40m (7.4%)

21:00 The Ganges with Sue Perkins - 3.16m (17.2%)

ITV (inc. +1)

19:00 Emmerdale - 5.75m (32.1%)

19:30 Fast Food: The Big Fat Truth - 2.97m (15.9%)

20:30 Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs - 3.79m (19.8%)

21:00 Ross Kemp Behind Bars: Inside Barlinnie - 2.88m (15.6%)

Expected at least double that for Harry Styles, although I guess it's an odd day for this sort of show. I think the Sam Smith one next Thursday will fare better but probably not amazingly.

omg 1.4m, rip bbc music shows! I did say when it was announced that it was an odd choice of star. I would get it if it was a regular series but, Harry is not an established star in his own right yet to get that treatment of following Adele and Michael Bublé.

Such a shame Sounds Like Friday Night has been such a flop, although I was cynical right at the start and thought it would take a lot for this sort of show to be a success.

Fantastic for Gogglebox! Been a while since we've seen that great a rating for it. That's higher than the 3.00/3.39m (exc. and inc. +1) that watched the previous SU2C special in October 2016. Highest rating for Gogglebox since 4.23m tuned into the first episode of Series 7 on 19 February 2016.

Gunpowder had a series average of 3.72m - looks like it'll have a big increase with the official ratings.

X Factor again drawing less than Pointless Celebrities. That is dire.

The Last Post had a series average of 4.23m.

Strictly results reaching (just) 10m for the first time this series. Really strong peak too.

Blue Planet II increasing 440k week-on-week; it's in fact higher than any of the Planet Earth II ratings as well, which had a high of 10.63m (its only rating over 10m).
