January 12, 20187 yr sure She love controls will be the next single, has potential to be a big #1 ala Havana still think she should have added Crying in the club and OMG, must be some label shenanigans that we don't know about
January 12, 20187 yr IS Real Friends a 5H dig track?’ I’m still on my first listen so can’t comment in full!
January 12, 20187 yr Solid effort by her. Really enjoying the whole album, but absolutely LOVING She Loves Control. As well as Real Freinds & Never Be The same. Really hoping she can get number 1 with this album, and hopefully in the US. She’s just unstoppable at the moment!
January 13, 20187 yr IS Real Friends a 5H dig track?’ I’m still on my first listen so can’t comment in full! "Real Friends” is not about that (leaving 5H) at all. I wrote “Real Friends” just before it was released, it’s so new. (In L.A.) I felt lonely. I didn’t really have a social life when I was there. I was just working… everyone I met was just so connected to the music industry (her work) Camila actually seems like such a sweetheart, I'm so glad she left Fifth Harmony. Since 5H became 4 members they've become so sexually aggressive with their music (even more than before) and have, to me, lost whatever charm they had. The whole performance at the VMA's throwing shade at Camila just appeared so salty and I think has tarnished how a portion of the public now see them as a group. Granted, I know at least half of all the shady acts they've been doing/saying is pushed by the record label in order to get them even more publicity, but it was still just so unnecessary. Anyway, I'm reealllyyy loving this album right now  She Loves Control is so much fun and it's already showing to be a clear favourite for me (of the non-singles), but I do really like everything else too.
January 13, 20187 yr I've never fully understood the whole "she was the bitch of the group" criticisms towards her. She was always the star of the group imo, and I saw it everywhere on blogs and stuff. I always got the feeling a couple of the others were always jealous of her for some reason. But anyway. That's for an entirely different convo and I'm bored of hearing about it. She clearly made the right choice to leave. No point working in a hostile environment when you have what it takes to go solo.
January 13, 20187 yr absolutely but after hearing the album i kinda understand now why Crying in the club and omg were left out, it's for cohesiveness, the whole album is produced by this one guy, Frank Dukes, so wouldnt make sense to add the Stargate-produced tracks, makes sense to me
January 13, 20187 yr absolutely but after hearing the album i kinda understand now why Crying in the club and omg were left out, it's for cohesiveness, the whole album is produced by this one guy, Frank Dukes, so wouldnt make sense to add the Stargate-produced tracks, makes sense to me I get the production thing, but I really feel like CITC would sound great on this album anyway (especially towards the end) and i'm surprised there isn't a deluxe or UK version where it and the other tracks are included, if the label whacked them on the end, changed the cover a little and upped the price a coupe of quid, it would work. I think another reason it bothers me is because I don't like that Never Be The Same is on there twice, so when you loop the album you get it twice in a row (even if slightly different).
January 13, 20187 yr She Loves Control is so good! This album really should have had Crying In The Club, I Have Questions and OMG?! They would've fitted perfectly fine on the album and it's only 10 tracks as it is :')
January 13, 20187 yr This is really good  I don't really feel it was necessary to leave out the tracks she left out, but I also don't really miss them :P And I can just choose to play CITC, IHQ & OMG after the album if I feel like it  Am I wrong in saying that Camila, Ariana, and Dua are becoming the new Rihanna, Katy, and Lady Gaga? Those seem like the most obvious parallels, obviously Dua is unlikely to wear a meat dress, and Camila will need a few more hits under her belt, but 2018 is looking to be a good year for these ladies  yes much like three women who had successs at the same time in the past, these are three women having success currently i think that’s where the parallels end
January 14, 20187 yr I've let this album settle now and I am actually REALLY loving it now. Just little tweaks in the production and vocal production throughout the album with the odd effect and stuff and then her vox and delivery... it's all spot on. Took longer than I thought it would (a day 😂😂😂) but I am loving this album.
January 14, 20187 yr DAMN GOOD debut album to be fair. It's a little bit of her trying hard to say "I'm a legitimate artist" for a chunk of it, but it's got strong production and listening to it from start to finish I get what she was aiming for with it. 5H had bops, but she's beyond that... I get her artistry, and having heard this I know that no other member of 5H had this in them to create something like this in a million years. I take my hat off to Camila, to be fair. :winner: Edited January 14, 20187 yr by Tawdry Hepburn
January 14, 20187 yr She's #1 on over 100 countries on iTunes with this album :o She's among company such as Adele, 1D, Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Taylor Swift who have achieved that, queen! DAMN GOOD debut album to be fair. It's a little bit of her trying hard to say "I'm a legitimate artist" for a chunk of it, but it's got strong production and listening to it from start to finish I get what she was aiming for with it. 5H had bops, but she's beyond that... They hit the right chord sometimes and their first album was solid enough as a whole, but this feels like such a triumphant debut the more I listen!
January 14, 20187 yr Projected to debut at #2 in the USA with overall sales of 90,000, expected to be an incredibly close battle and with promotion Camilla could edge it. 'Havana' is also expected to climb to #1 in the Billboard so she could be on for number one in both charts in the USA :o
January 15, 20187 yr Talent wins. That's seriously great news for her  P. S. Moved the posts to the album thread.
January 15, 20187 yr I really like the album a lot! Was at first skeptical, but the album surprised me! Hopefully the single on there will be huge! (Except for Havana, because it's a big hit right now)
January 15, 20187 yr I had such high hopes for this and she didn’t disappoint 😍 Nothing quite reaches the sheer gold that is ‘Havana’ (probably my favourite song of the last five years..) but there are so many highs, ‘She Loves Control’, ‘Into It’ and ‘All These Years’ especially. Just wish it was a bit longer. So glad to see how well she’s doing 👏🏻
