Why tf did they release it early? Oh well. Guess they'll be iTunes top 10 ready for the chart week to start :cheer:

Make way for pure dancehall/afrobeats :cheer:

The best dancehall records are growers anyway. Think 'Hold Yuh' or 'Welcome to Jamrock'.

I hope you're right! Hold Yuh only hit me five years after release so I guess Run Up will be a grower on me, I hope it takes a lot less than 5 years to do so though :heehee:

East top ten tonight then! Not really too keen at the moment, need to give it a couple more listens. :teresa:
Are we all in agreement this will be an easy top 10 debut for them officially?

Born Slippy is back in the top 75 because of T2. It's fair to say it's one of those songs that nothing like it new would ever make the charts now or any time soon probably - it being a hard trance/ hardstyle song.

Even at the time 'Born Slippy' wasn't the sort of song likely to become a hit! Quite amazing that it did so well off the back of the film really, although it is used in a prominent scene.

Great to see people buying the 11 minute version too instead of the radio edit!

To be fair, I suspect a lot of people are just buying the first version they see. Is the radio edit even on iTunes?

I think it might have been a rather smaller hit if it didn't have that "lager lager lager" bit in it.

I'm always sceptical of dancehall records success in the charts, seeing as it's normally the influence and not an 100% dancehall song that does well.

Yes, a 4:19 version on '101 Running Songs Lap 2'

12. James Arthur - Safe Inside

36. Major Lazer - Run Up (feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR & Nicki Minaj)

39. Train - Play That Song

75. The Sherlocks - Was It Really Worth It?

77. Elbow - Magnificent (She Says)

Not an immediate hit, but I feel "Run Up" will be a nice sized hit. Can't see it debuting T10 though personally.
Not sure what to make of 'Run Up' on first listen. Though my favourite bit's that last 20 seconds of instrumental at the end!
