Oh OF COURSE it's a remark about precious Linda that finally makes Mick snap and throw Babe out  What a terrible exit, it was about time but it feels limp given this sort of thing has happened multiple times and only now does she get the boot. The character ran her course ages ago imo although it's a shame to lose such a great actress.

OMG BEX

The first episode was so much better than the second. Jack really is such a useless character.

I thought we were finally going to be rid of Sylvie.

"Amy is a sponge and picks everything up"... so i'll chuck her grandmother out of the house and scream at her all night.

Omg as I type that AMY appearing and putting Jack in his place. I hate Jack SO MUCH it's unreal, what a vile person.

"Is wicked a word anymore" why do I stan michelle so much?

Also yes Jack is a c**t. Everything has to be perfect for Amy unless it's his behaviour and in that case anything goes...

Whitney is vile as well. I wish she'd go back to Bianca, does nobody in this show understand what depression is? Make him feel better why don't you by mentally undressing his dad 24/7.

You know something is out of place when Whitney manages to outcunt Jack in an episode.

Lee is totes being run out of town. All because his stupid f***ing family don't know shit about depression and only really care about themselves.

This Michelle should have turned up years ago.

Omg why are all the best episodes of the week aired when I'm working?! Really great character-driven drama tonight. I know Whitney and Jack are very flawed characters at the moment but their scenes tonight with Lee and Glenda respectively were really compelling, from all involved. Same goes for Denise and Kim, plus I liked Michelle and Bex's scenes. This is what I want to see from Eastenders, not DTC-esque pointless twists or embarrassing panto rubbish we saw from Babe's exit.
She did yeah. I don't remember seeing any scenes of her working there when I've watched old episodes, but I think she was working late at The Vic when she got shot in about 1994 (there was a pub siege from one of Grant's dodgy mates, with Grant, Sharon and Michelle there).

Michelle should be renamed as thqt is not her.

Also I have ALWAAAYS hated Neanderthal Jack. Oodious arrogant and somhow mma fighter man.

Just caught up. NOT Whitney basically screaming in Lee's face that she wants him to be more like his father even when she knows full well he's suffering with depression/obvious confidence issues. What an utter TWAT.

Jack is actually getting to Sonia levels of awfulness. I'm really gonna need him to take his leave.

YAS MICHELLE, YOU GO IN FOR THE CLAMP STAND!
I am annoyed a EE for telling someone who is depressed to Man Up they are handiling this story and character all wrong

I was HOWLING at scarecrow Sharon. This Michelle is f***ing amazing! Susan who?

I'm actually willing Lee to kill himself just so that he can forever escape his awful family. So he's going to leave on Mock's advice? What, just like when Mick tried to pay Nancy to leave a year ago? What do your reckon Johnny will do wrong to expect the same treatment in 12 months time?

It's true to life though and shows that people who are depicted as 'good' can still handle someone's depression in the wrong way, particularly with a lack of communication. I think when the storyline climaxes, if Whitney and Mick fail to realise their faults and involvement, then it would be a waste of a storyline but, so far, I think it's generally been handled well.

I must add that I find both Whitney and Lee so compelling. Even though they're clearly flawed characters, I just love to watch them and to see each other's points of view. The actors themselves really sink their teeth into the material and deliver it in a natural and believable way. That's another reason why Whitney should realise her mistakes and learn from it, because she has the potential to be a classic character and I'd be sad to see her fade into the background once Lee leaves (which could be as soon as this Friday!).

I feel like he might just disappear in a similar way to how Frank did in the 90s, although another part of me thinks he could commit suicide too (just I don't think we'd see any of it, more like we'll see him walking off and the next we hear of him is the Carter's learning of his death).
