They do just look like Millers Pt 2. Why didn't they just bring in the actress as Thelma, and introduce Star and perhaps have Danny Walters as her other brother? Like ik Thelma wasn't queen of class but I think she had loads of potential.

There was another chavvy family in Eastenders before them, remember Kevin, Lee, Mickey, I forgot the name of Kevin's wife and they had a daughter if I remember rightly.

Yep, the first thing I thought was The Millers part 2! :lol: I like to be open minded about things but you just know that they'll be "disruptive" to the square for a few months before something happens to make us supposedly warm to them.

Yeah they do give me The Millers teas too :lol: It'll probably be one of the younger kids being ill and the whole square will feel sorry for them and raise money and it'll be love peace warmth and community spirit xx

The new family probably going to have conflicts with the Carter's as I remember Nancy had some chavvy friends when the Carter's were first introduced.

 

I get a mixture of The Millers crossed with The Jacksons (Minus alan), Bernadette screams Sonia to me just give her a trumpet and a shock surprise pregnancy now. I Wondered why Danny had announced he had left Benidorm seemed bit odd as normally people just dont return and he looks good with shaved head, it says He's moving into number 3 which from what I remember is flats so is he moving in there then mum and rest elsewhere? or has it been made back into a house? I Think it may be 43 as thats the house next to Beales that was up for sale recently

I greatly welcome the announcement of a new family. New characters are needed,but i have little faith in the storylines they will receive. For the new family they in my opinion will be joining the show at a time when its at its worst meaning they will not be developed properly and could be the characters that get axed when a new executive producer comes in.

 

I have never longed for an executive producer to leave as much as i do with SOC. I really feel he has destroyed the show and it will take a long time to get it back on its feet. Even if SOC goes this year, the new exec would need at least 6 months to pull the show off the ground meaning it would be at least next summer before the show gets back on track.

Dare I say it, but I'm actually quite excited for what's coming up! :o So long as the good bits aren't just stand alone good moments and the rest is filled up with sitcom situations.
