Is anyone else not even remotely interested in Max's storyline? The pace is agonising.

He's said it will go on for 3 years :manson: But at this pace it's gonna have less content than any other storyline lmao, just dragged out over ages. Ik the scope of these things would realistically take longer but I'm unsure it's really that suitable for a soap storyline. Perhaps it's "never been done" for a reason :lol:

Is the old dude James Willmot-Brown? He made a point of 'no one knowing' him and there's been hints that Kathy is due a big storyline (well most characters are due one by this point.....)

I keep seeing his name circling around but I really hope not. He bares little resemblance, particularly in the voice, and would just be a totally pointless recast just for the sake of a cheap thrill when it's revealed who he is.

I thought this too, my main thought for huge storyline for Kathy was she could be ill at first but then all this stuff with Ian came about and they're hardly gonna do it with her as well. It wold be a bit silly and pointless without the proper actor back.

Things I've learnt from this week

 

1. Danny Dyer is probably the worst 'drunk' actor on the show (maybe a tad better than Jonny)

2. Whitney needs to stop acting pathetic and go see her bloody family instead of trying to guilt trip Mick into bed

3. Bargain bin Pam and Les are legit going to be axed in 6 months

can they just bring back Pam and Les

I quite like Ted and Joyce so far but it seems stupid to introduce them the episode after they reminded us how amazing Pam was...

I was living for that Shirley and Whitney scene. Linda and Shona were on top form and it was a moment of much needed high-energy drama.

That old dude with Max Branning is Simon Williams unless James wilmot brown has been recasted
