EE love to cast actors who are meant to be teenagers who are clearly not  first Louise and now Bernadette!!

This is true of pretty much any show strangely! One of the more extreme examples I can think of from another show is that an 18/19 year old in Teen Wolf is currently being played by a 30 year old

It's probably because as the character needs to be pregnant, it often takes an older actress to pull it off, such as Sarah Platt in Corrie - Tina O'Brien was 16 irl when Sarah gave birth at 12. But that doesn't explain US TV's obsession with 30 year old actors playing high school students

'When you're pushing 20 but look 40' that's Bernadette to a tee.

I want to see the deleted scene of Tracey's interview tbh.

I love Stacey but where on earth has this sudden interest in getting a job at The Vic again come from? I know they did touch on these points in the episode but it nevertheless does seem silly when 1) she's been content enough doing babysitting and mobile hairdressing and 2) is currently a few months pregnant. I can't see why Fi would encourage her getting employed if she knows she's going to be on paid maternity leave in a few months for however long she decides to take leave for, not when Fi has been so vocal about cutting costs previously.

Stacey is indeed an icon but there's only two icons that need to be behind that bar and that is Tracey and Sharon.

Hopefully it could liven the Vic up.

Where are the days when Kat Slater would deal with shitty punters by setting the fire extinguisher off on them?

Putting Stacey back in the Vic will hopefully breathe some life back into her! She definitely doesn't suit the mum life.

I actually think the development of Stacey has been one of SOC's few 2017 highlights. I've enjoyed watching her relationship with Martin grow stronger and the bond she has with Bex warms my heart, plus I think she needed a period of calmness following the, albeit fantastic, emotionally overwhelming PPP storyline and the not so good Kush affair in 2015 which showed that Stacey does not need any more affair storylines. Don't get me wrong, I do think it's time now for her to come to the forefront of the show again (although perhaps in a story where she supports Martin in something instead of the other way round) and I do love the glimpses of FIERY Stace we still occasionally see, but I wouldn't say the mum life definitely didn't suit her.

Caught up on Mondays episode. No follow-up to Linda walking out on Mick...wtf?! How irritating.

Random but I LOVE Jane and I hope they give her a big storyline soon.

Kellie Bright is still technically on maternity leave, I believe.

Come to think of it, I actually remember thinking when she originally left that she'd be back around August/September time.

I adore Linda so it was nice having her back briefly

Melissa Joan Hart was 27 during the final season of Sabrina The Teenage Witch, so must have been out of her teens already when it first aired in 1996

It is always a pleasure to have Linda back on screen. I do look forward to her full time return. I can see huge changes coming in the soap in the next 6 months. John Yorke, in my opinion can do nothing but improve the show.

Poor Dave :snif:

When Sonia went to see the teacher Mr Price, Sonia mentioned her trumpet  I did giggle a bit :heehee:

Trust Sonia returning being the final nail in the coffin for Dave.
Seriously tho get rid of Joyce and replace with Joanie if not Pam.
here for the rumour that Bernie's baby dad is actually Keanu

I'm beginning to think that now. There were rumours of an abuse in a family storyline when it was announced John Yorke replaced SOC and there's lots of speculation that Keanu isn't actually a brother but a cousin or something. Doesn't exactly scream SOC-related storyline though.
