The first UK grime artist to have a UK #1 album and seven tracks in the Top40, impressive

He's kinda been promoting 'Blinded By Your Grace' (both parts) quite a bit lately. I hope part 2 is serviced to radio and can become a hit!

He also covered 'Sweet Like Chocolate'!

The cover of "Sweet Like Chocolate" was really good, I enjoyed watching that!

I agree with Jonjo that "Blinded By Your Grace" would be a great single choice, I could see it appealing to the older generation just as much too which would be great for him. I was hoping "Cigarettes & Cush" would get a push soon though as it's always been my favourite on the album and the Lily Allen hook is really strong in my opinion so could be a hit for him too

He's featured on "Momma's Prayers", an instant grat track from JP Cooper's upcoming album:

I have to say I cannot stand JP Cooper or anything about him - perhaps my least favourite 'popstar' to emerge from the last couple of years - so I'm not surprised that I dislike this. It's nice to hear Stormzy singing/speaking on another song like this though, I have to agree with the love above for "Blinded by Your Grace".

Also his Mercury Prize performance was incredible, he re-enacted the album artwork for "First Things First" before going into "Blinded":

Blinded By Your Grace Part 2 is still incredible and would love for it to get a single push. Now he's apparently doing XF judges houses, maybe he'll get a slot to promote it on there?!
I don't think he'll push another single from the album myself. Most of them have already charted anyway!

That would be amazing if so, potentially would be my ever fave ever guest performance if he does that!
OK so I heard Blinded By Your Grace, Pt 2 for the first time tonight on X Factor and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was!!! I grew to appreciate Big For Your Boots in an ironic kinda way but this is a genuinely good song, I'm impressed :o
That performance on the X Factor was pretty incredible. His singing voice sounded a lot better than when he performed it in the Live Lounge recently. This is now up to #16 on iTunes - I wonder if it'll get a Spotify effect too to get it into the top 40 this week? :D

Things are about to potentially get messy judging by MNEK's twitter!

"Guys what do you do when youve come back from a date to find out that Labrinth was singing your song on X Factor instead of you? cos rn idk"

"I havent watched the performance yet btw how did he do?"

"Shits foul"

I feel bad for him! :(

Yeah that was so shitty :drama: Just because Syco are rabidly pushing Labrinth but it's shitty of Stormzy to presumably not even ask the guy who makes the song (imo).

Same, I had assumed that MNEK was either elsewhere promoting his own stuff in another country or something or even too ill to perform etc.. sad to see that neither is the case. Stormzy's label not even asking him is a bit of a pisstake too, but I wonder how far back that actually goes. I wonder if XF or whatever told Stormzy's label that they could have a slot if they let Labrinth sing it instead, hence why Stormzy/his label or whatever never bothered to ask?

Edit: ooft all the conspiracy theories are out now
