February 11, 20178 yr Lord knows what they're filming at this point. After initially hammering 'Power', I think I'd actually prefer NMSS as single 3. However, it's definitely a logical choice given that it's performing best on Spotify/iTunes. More importantly, it means it'd spare us 'Oops' surely?
February 11, 20178 yr I've learnt not to even try second guessing LM by this point! For me Power is one of the standouts on Glory Days so I'd be happy if it's a single
February 12, 20178 yr Oops would have been a massive hit if properly released but it's so boring in comparison to Power.
February 12, 20178 yr I think it makes a lot of sense and for sure will perform great as single 3, but we shall see.
February 12, 20178 yr I still stand by that 'Power', although one of my favourite album tracks, would make a horrible single choice. The verses just sound too noisy and crazy, it would be so jarring on the radio. I feel like it's a song that appeals to people who are already fans of them but isn't friendly on the ears for the everyday listener. 'No More Sad Songs' is for sure the best single option left.
February 12, 20178 yr It definitely needs a radio edit to clean it up a little but I think wihna great (like much more expensive than Touch) video it could be a hit.
February 12, 20178 yr I hope not! And I seriously doubt they'd shoot a video for Power and hint at it so easily on snapchat. They never give us any details while shooting a music video
February 12, 20178 yr They also posted lyrics from 'No More Sad Songs' with an image of Jesy last night too. I think they're just trying to plug the album streams more!
February 12, 20178 yr I'm undecided on how much I like 'Power'. The chorus is great; really anthemic that the girls would really make the best of when performed live but, like Davidson said, there's aspects that are a bit jarring, as well as the hideous "motorbike" lyric. I don't think it would hinder their chances of being successful with it if it was a single though, especially with a radio edit. I just don't understand the mild reception for 'Oops', nor do I understand why people seem so against it being a single. It's clearly got its fans, judging by its chart performance, and it makes a nice change from the, albeit good, sassy pop bangers. Definitely feels more of a single than 'No More Sad Songs' - now, that is a great song, but it doesn't feel like a single to me, more like fantastic album track. 'Nothing Else Matters', which is slightly similar, sounds much more like a single, although definitely a final single.

It's one of my favourite parts, it's the kinda quirky and unique flare that made Girls Aloud stand out. However, outside of those that fully embrace camp pop, it would be heavily sneered upon by causal listeners. I here some people love it and others saying it's too silly. So it could go either way.

I can see the appeal of it but it just makes me embarrassed. 'Power' is on my work's playlist, along with a few other tracks from the album, and it just makes me cringe every time I hear it. It just randomly appears and I can just picture Jesy's (it is Jesy?) face when she's singing it which makes it even worse (not that there's anything wrong with her face haha, I just mean her singing that particular line). It's on par with Cher Lloyd's "Do I sound like a helicopter? Brrrrrrr!".
February 13, 20178 yr As long as Oops and You Gotta Not stay album tracks I don't mind what they release
