You'd think this has really bombed by reading this thread  It's really difficult for people, in this streaming kind of era, to actually get a big hit post-album release. The fact that this has kept up their top 20 streak is a success and sometimes we get a bit carried away with chart positions. I've heard this out, I've heard friends playing it and enjoying it, I'd say it's been good in keeping their momentum going, now we're months into the era.

Exactly, it's the 3rd single and the album has sold nearly 500,000 which is of course brilliant nowadays. A lot of big acts don't get PRE album top 10s let alone post album, I think for me I look at a top 20 nowadays as akin to a top 10 from a few years ago, becasue the top 10 is so slow moving it's hard to get in there.
Yeah I also agree, I'd say it's become yet another well known hit for them, it's success was rather staggered, peaking on streaming, airplay and sales at totally different times but it feels only slightly less of a hit than Hair was and probably a bigger hit than Love Me Like You to me, personally.
It's done fine, I don't understand what all the fuss is about. It will pass 300k and become certified Gold over time. They didn't promote it at all so to receive a top 15 peak is great especially within the streaming era for a post-release single. Hopefully with Power they'll have a chance to promote it and secure another hit.
For a third single it is doing well, its keeping the album single and also has a respectable peak and sales to go with it.
i can see it hanging around at the bottom of the top 40 for a few weeks to come.

Yeah it's actually having better longevity than I expected after the discount was removed. The Capital airplay is probably helping -- I hear it constantly.

Heart also seem to be playing it more :D

Good to hear! It definitely appears to be helping; it's still #28 on iTunes, and actually ahead of a lot of the tracks that edged it out of the top 10.

Genuinely shocked at the longevity this is having after it got off to such a slow start and couldn't peak higher than #15! It's actually climbed in today's chart update.
My fave from the era and I'm so pleased with how its done! Especially as it's used as a "bridge" single to bridge the gap between 'Touch' and 'Power'. I think this might have helped 'Power' out more. Coz I think 'Power' may have struggled with the sort of messy release 'No More Sad Songs' got.

Heart have started playing the MGK version instead of the album version! :D

Interesting! I wonder if they'll ever play power.

Yay! I thought it already was oops but another one in the basket etc.

Yay. Finally.

The video is cute but boring. So I'm not surprised to see it take the longest from this era to do so, but still amazing
