February 24, 20178 yr poor Sara Loreen though major OOOOPS I am not ready for a possibility of this going to AC
February 24, 20178 yr JonHenrik is on very friendily territory in Skeleftea as that's way in the north of Sweden so I actually think if you swap Loreen and JonHenrik and that'll be the results. Although I guess I wouldn't be totally shocked at Statements being too ARTPOP for the masses at this point.
February 24, 20178 yr How accurate have those results been in the past few weeks OOI? Very hit and miss, one of the DTF qualifiers in the last heat only showed up in fifth place or something with only a handful of votes.
February 24, 20178 yr How accurate have those results been in the past few weeks OOI? Very hit and miss, although songs that typically go on to win do do well in these genrep polls, especially looking at Frans last year. I mean, Loreen is only 1 vote ahead of Alice Svensson who is 2nd in the running order. But like Lex said, maybe the full thing is too 'out there'?
February 24, 20178 yr QUICK!! View this before it's taken down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OA6IAkA3ds HOLY CRAP
February 24, 20178 yr Author That is FANTASTIC, it's a Eurovision winner if it can get there. The rock post-choruses remind me of Demi's 'Cool For The Summer' in a strange way! I see what they mean about no chorus as it doesn't really have one, but it looks fantastic even in such LQ.
February 25, 20178 yr I AM ACTUALLY SHAKING AND CRYING STOCKHOLM 2018 PLEASE SWEDEN COME ON AND SELECT THIS
February 25, 20178 yr Also Jonjo put forward the very good idea of watching this on Rabbit tomorrow if anyone is up for that? :o
February 25, 20178 yr I think Statements will be more about impact than just a good pop tune. 1944 was hardly the immediate ear worm but people clearly felt something and I suspect Statements will resonate in a similar way. Bizarrely, "Hold On' is just about the bookies fave still.
February 25, 20178 yr Author Loreen was favourite across the board before those poll results, now she's fell back behind Nano again and Wiktoria has closed up massively.
February 25, 20178 yr I think Statements will be more about impact than just a good pop tune. 1944 was hardly the immediate ear worm but people clearly felt something and I suspect Statements will resonate in a similar way. Bizarrely, "Hold On' is just about the bookies fave still. I feel like Nano is the default favourite  There really hasn't been any contenders but I feel like Loreen and Wiktoria are those contenders for him, when they perform and slay I think it will be one of those to win. Surely Statements is too f***ing immense to miss out?! I feel like this will be a case where the genrep is just off
February 25, 20178 yr I'm slightly horrified that Nano is favourite to win the whole thing still...I mean it's just a decent Rudimental/Sigma album track fronted by a singer with little charisma or stage presence. I quite like the song but come on Sweden, it's not 2012 anymore and this song is not going to smash. It really doesn't scream Eurovision top 10 at all to me, I think it might flop for them.
