I am obsessed with this, especially when it was played in the club on Saturday night! Went down well!
I've honestly not been this obsessed with a song since Shine by Years & Years.
i need to hear this out

I have twice already and it's everything

Debuts at #40 in the UK Charts! Of course that is dreadfully disappointing but at least it's better than the first mids suggested it could have been. Hoping the A-list spot on the R1 playlist will help it out a bit though...
I just want her to drop the video. It's apparently got some weird stripper in it and will probably be a hot mess. I can see the song rebounding nicely when it's out.
This apparently is on track to sell 17k first week in the US, which is 1k less than Mariah Carey sold with I Don't to put it in context !!!

omg that's REALLY bad.

But let's be honest here, 'I Don't' is actually quite amazing :coffee:. Talent won.

No.

Gone back to not really liking this again oops. The UK is the only place it seems to be doing not terribly atm, out of the top 100 on US iTunes ;o

Apparently it's being pulled as a single in America, because it's doing a lot worse there than here.

Who, knows - for the UK's sake I hope we do, as the song is showing signs of doing really well here with a push. I find it a bit annoying that they'd pull the plug simply because it is doing badly initially, and isn't living up to the songs from her imperial phase. All it takes is a good video for a song to catch on sometimes.

Million Reasons by Gaga wasn't doing well at first but Gaga was smart and kept pushing it until it was.

I'm not surprised really, for it to sell less in week 1 in the US than Mariah's I Don't is a REALLY poor result, Chained didn't do badly at all so you can't really justify this. Million Reasons was pushed post-album anyway so it a different scenario really but as much as I'm enjoying the song, its US performance is worrying :(
I'm not saying Bon Appétit isn't doing terribly in America, but I Don't was released with its video the same week, got a premiere on her reality TV show and a performance on Jimmy Kimmel, was the first single from Mariah in quite a while and it debuted at #89 while this is predicted for #69. Katy has thrown this song out and done nothing with it, it's the first time she's done that with a pre-album single. I know Mariah and Katy are meant to be on totally different playing fields, but still.

It's OK. This is just the 'Bitch Better Have My Money' to 'Chained to the Rhythm's, 'FourFive Seconds' in all honesty.

She just needs to rethink her promotional tactics and learn to move with the times a bit faster. This is nothing but a blip. Every artist gets one.

(Still an utter jam and seriously in my top 5 songs of the year)
