Gemma has really been ruined, and good CHRIST who gives a shit about Tim's dad (who's name escapes me, he's that exciting) growing broad beans when Yasmeen thinks it's too early to do so....................

It's been a lot worse than it is now imo. It's had a step down in quality since Kate Oates left but it's not without merit - the repercussions of the fire have been pretty well played out so far for example! Too much Chesney and Gemma though.

At least there's the factory stuff which is a good storyline, it has been worse but virtually everything else going on is terrible, particularly Gemma and Chesney. It's a shame, like obviously it can't all be the factory but that's basically all it has going for it atm :lol:

It's better than Blackburn's tenure but closer to his quality than Oates' tbh, and contrary to the last few years (or at least what I've seen in that time) EE is blowing it out of the water right now. I'd be more enthusiastic about the factory storyline if we hadn't had an almost identical storyline for Carla with the Victoria Court Fire 2015- it's the same as in she thought she was responsible for a death she wasn't, the whole community turns on her and she has a breakdown. It's this cycle of misery that put me off Carla in the first place :( One of the worst things lately is the comedy is really bad, it's like a parody of what 1980's 'Corrie comedy' would be and it's just...not funny. I have enjoyed what they've done in the last few months with Roy, Emma, Jenny/Johnny and I don't mind the Nick storyline, Nick works better when he's pretty openly a twat :lol:
