A fair percentage of Unsteady's downloads could be caused by MØ fans thinking she sings it!

 

It says "The Voice" right in the song title. If you don't bother to read the name of the song or listen to the preview, you're pretty oblivious.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read in my life

You'd think if they were fans, they'd know her name is MØ and not Mo :kink:

When her song with Cashmere Cat was first released on Spotify last week, it had her in the artist column as 'MO' so digital fronts are not beyond this sort of slip up :D I'd question a buyer who'd buy into something like this so naively, but then I do also find it amusing that iTunes gives the peculiar parentheses '(The Voice Final Song)'. Unless they do that every year (and even if they do), it's a curious coincidence!

MØ doesn't have a fanbase that would buy her song without knowing it. Her last single missed the top 100. Also, if they were within the 3 die hard fans who'd buy a song without hearing it, they'd know the spelling and the fact she's not a black man.

The Ed Sheeran tracks though are heading in the right direction... if only the drop off was as quick on spotify
