Apparently the lead single is called Malibu and is a "beachy anthem" - it's dropping May 12th

After Dead Petz, I am scared to listen!

Not the comeback I wanted in the slightest. I predicted following 'Bangerz' that she would return with her natural look and a more mature sound but I'm so disappointed with 'Malibu'. It's good that she doesn't care for chart success because I can't see radios touching this anywhere if I'm being honest.

I love this, it's so cute.

I'd love another Bangerz (I'd say it's up there with the best pop albums of the last ten years or so with Blackout etc.) but it's good for her to switch up her sound. I was worried she'd go too country.

 

As for radios not touching it...it's say it's actually really radio-friendly!

It's obviously catered for the US, and the US only. Sounds country.

 

Anyway I kinda like it buts it's just a non-event. Expected and wanted much more 'oomph' from her.

It's not really like country it just has influences, I can see this being big! It's very breezy and carefree, perfect for summer. I feel like it's the sort of thing Lana Del Rey might release if she went a bit more upbeat and countrier. I love it anyway :wub:
