Not green anymore

Omg. All this promo for Steps.

Must be DESPERATE for that #1 album!!!!!!1!!!11211!!1RW@¬!

Seriously though, surprised (pleasantly so) that no one has actually said the above and are actually applauding them for doing promo? Is this a Buzzjack first?! :o

Some sort of error there indeed, wondering if they are trying to prepare an instant grat and it's gone a bit wrong.

Has Radio 2 playlisted this yet? Maybe on Friday to coincide with the Graham Norton show.

Kind of annoying that 2-3 years ago if Steps had performed this well on iTunes it'd be seen as a pretty solid hit in official terms (but I still consider this and the era overall a triumph anyway).

There's no telling whether they would have done so well on iTunes back then though, as sales are a lot lower now it is easier to crack the iTunes top ten.

>> Falling Apple <<

Down with downloads

How soon until we bid farewell

to iTunes? There's word doing

the rounds in tech circles that

Apple is looking to shake the

iconic brand loose as they try

to coax people into signing up

to their persistently stagnant

Apple Music brand instead.

This week they started the

rebrand of podcasts, with all

new podcast material dropping

the word "iTunes" in favour

of "Apple Podcasts".

Some think they're so hellbent

on pushing people on to their

subscription-based service

that the whole iTunes store

might be on the chopping block.

If so, be ready to say goodbye

to downloaded music.

I'm not surprised - they are lagging behind on their streaming service and download sales are falling rapidly. This is the same as killing off the CD single etc., but would expect nothing less from Apple to be honest as if they don't strike soon they will always be the bridesmaid to Spotify.

Although there are rumors that they are rebranding totally and dropping the 'i' and the new iPhone will simply be an Apple phone so maybe we won't see the end of downloads just yet.

Spotify is trying to do exclusive deals with big record companies so it can float on stock market so apple needs to get something done quick before they sign them all up.

45. Imagine Dragons - Thunder

69. Fall Out Boy - Young and Menace

love both

I think iTunes must have made an error, because Fall Out Boy's new album, which has 10 tracks, is available for Pre-Order for £1.79. Surely this can't be right and it wouldn't be able to chart at that price?

They always seem to do that error - I got Drakes album for £1.79 a few weeks ago

I hope iTunes doesn't get shut down, or the charts will be ridiculously stagnant (just look at the streaming chart, Kendrick aside not much going on within the top 40).

I suppose people who still want to download could move to Amazon...

Why don't Apple just merge both and you could choose to download or stream why have two sites?

Apple is too expensive

1 pound per song is huge price for now

How anyone can expect Steps to pay for playlists ebntry when they made new album BECAUSE they were skint?

And this is what I read on this website in chart summary few weeks ago
