Holds at #2 this week but reduces Despacito's lead by ~3k clap3.gif I'm not sure if this will end up getting to #1 but it'll still be a huge hit.

It's really not important (they're obviously more conserned about the US where it's also slaying) but l if they do want it to get to #1 here they need to reduce it to 59p, it has a small lead over Despacito on Spotify and is also #1 on Apple Music but Despacito has a consistent iTunes lead. Really want to see her at #1 again

This is not gonna go #1 in the UK.. Earlier this week on iTunes it was up to 92% but now it's down again to 67%. I feel that the moment 'Despacito' will be affected by the rule will be the moment that 'Feels' or any other song will overtake this.
I kinda want to like it, but her parts remind me of 'Work' too much and I hate that song. :D

Lol at Rihanna potentially getting her ninth #1 on a technicality

And it's lowest selling week too.

Get it bitch!

I detest DJ Khaled though. A stain on music, mostly because he can't just STFU.

Hope it manages to hang on until Friday. It's been far too long since she's been #1!

This will not peak at #1. Tbh a #1 with the new rules would be very unfulfilling anyway.

I'm very happy with this being a UK #2 but I NEED R9 lead to be a #1.

Why does it matter? Why don't you just care if the music is on point and support it if you dig it?

It doesn't really but it's nice to see her at #1 again after so long, and I think everyone is sick of Despacito so that helps

:kink:

On a serious note, it is an actual joke that she is number one, but I shan't complain

It's all good in that case. What a terrible song.

But saying the next lead single needs to be #1... I guess I was inquiring on if they meant in terms of quality... because , like you said, 'Despacito' has been #1 for several weeks and it's terribly uninspired (also terrible).

It's a shame it's #1 when it wasn't the most downloaded track or the most streamed track this week.

If quality and peak position were that related to each other then I would go for quality of course. But they are not so you can have a #1 and an awesome song at the same time. So why not hope for both?

And what's wrong with wanting my fave to have continued success? I want to hear her on the radio with her new stuff, I want her to do well.

I don't like this rule . I'd rather not have the #1 and have more longevity.

This would be happening regardless of whether it'd have made #1 though.
