Yikes. Calvin not even top 20 yet

His latest output is very poor in my opinion, his music direction seems to have swayed from the dance generation to a more ragga/ trip output which does nothing for me.

Yeah, his last 3 singles have been awful :/

I hope his collab with Katy is a massive summer hit!

Again. Because people aren't moving on from "Slide"

Slide isn't exactly smashing is it. Idek if it's still top 40.

It's purely because is recent output is trash

Didn't stop Ed Sheeran having three singles in the top 10 (not to mention the album tracks) for weeks on end. The new stuff just isn't quite as popular, Slide aside.

Well it's barely top 30 officially so I'm not sure people are that arsed with it anyway

I expect these to be the ones fighting for the crown. Portugal now bookies favourite to take it which is the most shocking Eurovision bookies moment I can think of! Portugal winning would be incredible - the perennial underdogs. They'll never get another chance like this.

Bulgaria would be another fantastic winner.

Italy isn't living up to the hype for me, the 'message it sends' is just being turned into a joke by the performance. His vocal isn't exactly great either is it? It'd be a shame if Portugal or Bulgaria lost out to this.

38. Imelda May - Should've Been You

It was instant love for me. Smash that first top 40 next Friday Imelda May

I be amazed if Bulgaria win, another new country to win along with Portugal seems to be a dark horse of the competition, I even throw in Moldova into the mix. Most of the Balkan countries have lost out this year. As for the UK not holding out for a win, hopefully a reasonable finish though, instead of the usual bottom 5.

Calvins new stuff is awful. I'm glad it's flopping, I mean why change a successful sound?

So glad Mileys still holding at 3

Because it's not always about success :P sometimes artists need change their style to progress / he might actually like and *want* to release this style of music so why shouldn't he?

It'd be a sad state of affairs if every artist only ever released music they were successful with in the past ad infinitum with no experimenting!

'Slide' not impacting? Again, it seems if people are judging impact solely on chart performance. Which should never be the case for music that isn't pop. 'Slide' is one of the biggest impacting songs amongst people I've witnessed this year.

Even if I wasn't such an ardent fan of R&B and the artists he is working with, I'd still be applauding Calvin Harris for releasing songs so different from his previous output. 'This Is What You Came For' was a huge hit, but didn't exactly scream innovation did it.
