March 5, 20187 yr I can't see them changing it that drastically but I hope they do as that's definitely what it needs imo. I'd prefer Clean Bandit vibes but either of those would be fine and make it pop a bit more because as it is it's just bland and doesn't stand out at all.
March 5, 20187 yr Female mid to uptempo pop entries are coming in thick and fast now and this already pales in comparison to Australia, Cyprus, Azerbaijan and I think the latter is even a borderline qualifier so Storm needs massive elevation to get itself into the midtable.
March 5, 20187 yr Very optimistic comments I read on this thread. Unless they change the song completely, this is very #26 this year.
March 6, 20187 yr Female mid to uptempo pop entries are coming in thick and fast now and this already pales in comparison to Australia, Cyprus, Azerbaijan and I think the latter is even a borderline qualifier so Storm needs massive elevation to get itself into the midtable. If Azerbaijan and Australia make the final (and given their records I don't see why they wouldn't) then we are coming stone dead last, revamp or not. That's even bearing in mind that I don't see anything Australia has that this hasn't but I'm sure it'll do the business just because Australia.
March 6, 20187 yr Clip is here, it's out in Australia and New Zealand. It sounds WORSE to me, very Spotify playlist filler. https://itunes.apple.com/nz/album/storm-single/1355767547. Yeah we're coming last.
March 6, 20187 yr So essentially they've taken it down a key since she can't manage the high notes. I honestly struggle to see this getting above 26th in the televote.
March 7, 20187 yr I hear differently, it sounds like they've added more atmosphere to the backing (a la Lucie's song) though it hasn't drastically changed. The song doesn't sound as bad either, though that might just be because I'm coming around to it a bit. Still expect a bottom end result though. I do think the verses are dull and piss poor. March 7, 20187 yr So bland. They’ve removed some of the nice string flourishes before the chorus too which was one of the only bits I particularly liked about it :/
March 7, 20187 yr I like the verses but the chorus is made worse IMO, it was half way here to being a dance-ish track but they decided to go the other way and make something that will most likely fall into a middle territory and basically come bottom 5. Annoying as she is clearly far, far better than this tepid song.
March 7, 20187 yr I can't even begin to understand just quite HOW they've managed to make it WORSE. @BBC Call 7th Heaven before it's too late!
March 7, 20187 yr Even blander than it was before somehow. The fact that they've taken the whole bloody thing down a key to accommodate her spontaneous money note that went badly awry now being part of the actual song doesn't help matters.
March 7, 20187 yr Music video is out on iPlayer, it is being uploaded to the Eurovision channel at 5pm I think https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p060b...sion-entry-2018 Glad they gave it a bigger budget than poor Lucie...
March 7, 20187 yr I am surprised how little they changed about this. It's got a bit more depth I suppose, but it seems questionably worth the money they'll have spent on it. I wonder if they have a lot of confidence in the song as it is.
March 7, 20187 yr oh god, they've literally ruined it. It's still not bad, its just forgettable. Asanda should've won. :drama: Edited March 7, 20187 yr by Alex!
March 7, 20187 yr If they wanted a performance Raya singing Legends would have slayed since she was able to sing perfectly whilst dancing. I do think Asanda would have got it together come May though :(
