Posted May 25, 20178 yr Already a hit worldwide in Spanish and non-Spanish speaking countries and achieved 333M views on Youtube so far. It entered Spotify UK today for the first time at #190 and currently sits at #81 on iTunes UK. Can this become the next Despacito and non-English track to become a hit in the UK without a Bieber feature? Edited July 19, 20177 yr by rafik4u
May 25, 20178 yr 9sg-A-eS6Ig Not a bad song, and I'm all for more Spanish language songs being chart hits. Though I must say his own 'Bailando' is better, that should've been a big UK hit and probably would be if it got released about now.
May 25, 20178 yr Bailando was great, loved the Sean Paul version - one of my songs of 2014. Last year's DUELE EL CORAZON was also a banger, shame that couldn't break through either. I doubt this'll do anything, but for what it's worth it's another solid track from Enrique.
May 26, 20178 yr Author I also believe Bailando and Duele el Corazon were far better but this one is still a jam. By the way thanks for adding the music video from youtube here, I don't know why I couldn't. Still a beginner user of this forum. :D Today Subeme La Radio reaches new peaks despite of the new Friday releases/Throwback Thursday playlist on Spotify. iTunes UK: 76. Enrique Iglesias - SUBEME LA RADIO (feat. Descemer Bueno and Zion & Lennox) (+5) Spotify UK: 185. Enrique Iglesias - SUBEME LA RADIO (feat. Descemer Bueno and Zion & Lennox) (+5) Edited May 26, 20178 yr by rafik4u
July 14, 20177 yr Semi-English Remix featuring Sean Paul out this week, one of the first to properly capitalize on Despacito's success and could even impact the chart. Not as good as Bailando though (to mimic everyone else )
July 14, 20177 yr Semi-English Remix featuring Sean Paul out this week, one of the first to properly capitalize on Despacito's success and could even impact the chart. Not as good as Bailando though (to mimic everyone else ) !! I think it was me and Dan that mentioned a while ago that a Sean Paul remix of one of these Spanish songs was imminent, looks like we were right *.* I would absolutely LOVE this to be a hit now omfg
July 18, 20177 yr Matt Terry? Will he be singing in Spanish then, would be an odd first move for an XF winner.
July 19, 20177 yr It 100% won't debut at #1. Despacito couldn't even do that and it features King of Charts, Justin Bieber. :P
July 20, 20177 yr Christ, this is nauseatingly trend-chasing. Although I do love Sean Paul, I hope this flops miserably.
July 20, 20177 yr Ok so I've just heard it... Matt Terry gets about 10 seconds vocals and they're all in... English... not Spanish. It's definitely sounding like a Despacito II but I think it's going to do ok chartwise. I have to say I was expecting something much better though with Matt Terry involved.
July 21, 20177 yr I can't speak for whether this remix improves or detracts from the original as I didn't hear it until now but Matt sounds awful on this :/ He sounds like he's doing Enrique karaoke on a Saturday night in a back alley karaoke bar lmao, it's not great to be his first proper release. Tears was a risk for Louisa as a feature but it put her out there with a bang, and you still knew it was her, this could be any given male feature it's just that he happens to be Brtish. I hope this doesn't smash just because of Despacito, there is a whole range of Spanish music so I hope that only ones that sound like Despacito mark II don't smash
July 21, 20177 yr I've not yet heard the remix with Matt Terry so I can't comment on whether it is a Despacito mark 2 but the orginal definitely isn't, it is quite distinct. I really enjoyed the song on its original release so I eagerly await listening to the remix when I finish work today.
July 21, 20177 yr I barely noticed Matt on that new version  He definitely does the 2nd verse... is he joining in on the chorus a la Bieber?
July 21, 20177 yr Eesh. This is like Cheryl Cole's 'feature' on will.i.am's Check It Out when all she did was appear in the video and wave her arms while miming.
