i did that but it was waaaaay too complicated :P

It's gotten worse recently (since the mod change). There was a time when there was actually some quality control here and spam like that thread and most of the posts here was stamped out. Now people just pretty much do that they want and get away with it because "it's discussion" or "nobody gets hurt".
