i hope when she goes back to releasing music... she returns to the adult-contemporary sound of 'Young Blood'.

I think she will. I, pretty sure I’m her book she said the album is almost finished and it’s kind of like a trilogy to Wanderlust and Familia.

Young Blood, Runaway Daydreamer. Love Is A Camera and Wild Forever are all incredible songs.

Make a Scene is at #158 in the midweeks, is that because the vinyl has just been released? I thought I read somewhere they wouldn’t be chart eligible.

This is what Plastic Pop said about it in October:

Apparently because I do my own distribution, I’m not chart eligible. I tried. Whole thing is a racket haha

It seems he's looked into it and has managed to make it work?

Nicola Roberts - Cinderella's Eyes didn't show up in the 4th February physical chart after her CD release, but I suppose it's possible that she sold less than was required to make the Top 100 of that chart? Unfortunately we didn't see any Top 200 mids that week so we don't know if it made an appearance early on in the week.

Yes, I heard that too since they're self-distributed. Though their Twitter account mentions that they're using a new distributor for this release, so maybe that's why it's chart eligible?

Plastic Pop Records posted yesterday that, I think from this week onwards, they are indeed chart eligible. Which is pretty exciting to see.

Glad to hear!

FYI, 'Make a Scene' had sold 391 copies as of the Monday update, but only 1 copy was sold on Sunday.

Poor Nicola,

but glad they are now chart eligible!

I imagine it was a conscious decision to go with a new distributor with the Make a Scene release because it has lower interest than a lot of their other releases, so they'd have less of a mess to clean up if the distributor screwed up.

I saw a post on Facebook yesterday reporting that the first four albums are being reissued on CD and cassette by the same company who did the vinyl. No tracklist yet or release date.

Woo for the 1 copy on Sunday :cheer: I think the result is fairly good, considering the fact it's her least known album and Plastic Pop REcords is still very small. Also imagine he sells quite a few international copies that won't count towards the charts.

The tracklist of all the re-issues is on their Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/plasticpoprecs/. Every release will have some bonus tracks.

Those track lists for the reissued CDs are slightly disappointing. No remixes and mainly just the B sides but better than nothing I guess.
i'm hoping she returns to the 'Young Blood' sound.

I’m sure she will/is. I’m pretty sure she’s currently recording an album and that she mentioned it as a trilogy type thing.

We’ve had two already.
