It's flaming ridiculous that Power, Pretty Girl and Crying In The Club have peaked this week yet are almost certain for ACR next week.

Though they're all artificial peaks that have been helped along by other songs moving to ACR and falling below them so it's only fair that they suffer the same fate.

This is going to get a bit annoying if a track is at 2 on its tenth week, and suffers a heavy drop the following week when it's got potential to get to no.1

A closer look at the sales reveals that 'Power' should remain on SCR, as it has increased against the market.

Rita Ora's 'Your Song' has also increased in sales, although its %age increase is not as big as the %age increase in the market. Likewise for 'Crying In The Club'. Both should move to ACR. (see correction below)

'Pretty Girl' despite climbing a place did actually decrease in sales, so Maggie will definitely be on ACR next week.

ACR - accelerated chart ratio

SCR - standard chart ratio

I found this in the pinned OCC chart rules change thread which seems to suggest that a song that increases sales (even if the increase is lower than that of the market as a whole) should stay on SCR. That said, the new rules (and the OCC's interpretation of them) are a bit of a mess so I'll be interested to see what actually happens to Your Song and Crying in the Club

6.0 Accelerated Decline

6.1 Streaming Ratio

New releases will have a streaming to sales ratio of 150:1 (or as otherwise amended by the CSC) applied for the combining of chart eligible transactions. This ratio will be known as Standard Chart Ratio (SCR)

After 3 consecutive weeks of decline a stream to sale ratio of 300:1 (or as otherwise amended by the CSC) can be applied. This is also known as Accelerated Chart Ratio (ACR)

Decline is defined as negative week on week variance of combined sales and streams AND negative variance lower than the market rate of change week on week

6.2 Exceptions

Accelerated Chart Ratio cannot be applied to any product with fewer than 9 weeks on chart (ie. ACR can only be applied in its 10th week on the Top 100 chart, at the earliest).

Should only be Maggie from this weeks Top 10 that is a new inclusion for ACR this week.
Yeah power has increased every week hasn't it even though it is in its 10th so won't have had 3 weeks decline

Rita Ora's Your Song will be ACR next week (assuming no 50% sales increase)
Rita Ora's Your Song will be ACR next week (assuming no 50% sales increase)

It increased last week so its three-week counter got reset. Two more weeks minimum until that's on ACR.

Rita Ora is fine for next week, seeing as she gained in sales last week. It has to be three declines in a row.

the following should move to ACR next week;

- Miley Cyrus - Malibu

- Selena Gomez - Bad Liar

- Calvin Harris - Slide

I think most people would agree Malibu and Slide (particular the latter) have had their fair share of chart time so happy to see them move into ACR.

Shame about Bad Liar. I was hoping it would go top 20, but just not meant to be here sadly.
