10000% this will totally flop though.

I don't agree with what happened to her but I wanted a trashy dance pop song with a few of these ballad types

On the album, this sounds nothing more than an album track to me.

Everyone's Jizzing themselves because of the fact it's Kesha singing about events that happened, it's the emotion that's getting everyone not the actual quality of the song which IMO is poor.

You're totally welcome to your opinion but you're now criticising others for their views on the songs, telling them that it's based more on the emotion than the quality of the song. Fair enough if you dislike it but please don't ruin it for others who are actually loving it...?

On first listen I really liked this, but every play it gets better and better and I'm firmly in LOVE with it now. I had really high hopes for her return, and this has really delivered. The pure emotion in the lyrics, and the vocals, and the building production all just come together to make a really special track. Incredible, and I really hope it's massive, because she really deserves it.

Sorry but I reacted to people jumping on me for disliking a song.

So it's fine for them to criticise my opinion, cool babes.

The fact someone was sobbing over it is utterly ridiculous 😂

Just because it isn't the standard Dr. Luke-produced Kesha trash pop single doesn't mean it will flop. Ultimately, a single push is reliant on how memorable the song is and the type of promo/visuals/whatnot that comes with it. "Praying" so far has an instant click with people: the video is currently the second most trending on YouTube and almost pushing 500K views on release.

Now ultimately, I don't think another huge hit is Kesha's goal with this song, but so far it's done better than expected.

But aren't you the one criticising opinions? Everyone else has debated your POV, because you share a different viewpoint, that's the POINT of a discussion forum. You're welcome to share your view and back it up, but others are welcome to disagree, just as you're welcome to disagree with us! Nobody jumped on you but you seem to be forcing your viewpoint down other people's throats...

The thing is, how can you judge how well it's done yet?!?

It's a Thursday sales are really low and it's at the top of Hot Songs which gives any song a big push up the chart.

Why?

The fact someone was sobbing over it is utterly ridiculous 😂
Being moved by a person's struggle with a court case regarding sexual abuse is ridiculous?

Hot Songs is a promotional tool, you're talking as if it's somehow cheating.

Come back in about a month and we'll discuss how well it's doing. But things are pretty promising at this early state based purely on the initial reaction on Buzzjack.

No brigade just being honest. Artists need hits or they'll get dropped.

She could have quite easily made a statement song and turned into something more untempo, this is just a snooze fest.

At this point I am pretty sure all she wants to do is release music, whether it is a hit or not.

OK one thing being told the reasons why I like a song by someone else, another thing being told it's ridiculous to get emotional/cry at it.. Crying is a natural emotional response to situations, believe it or not sometimes you can't control it :o

ANYWAY far too negative for such a beautiful song and message. I really hope it's a hit but as Cody said, I think it's the message she wants to get out more than the succe$$ and it will do that expertly. Jonas Akerlund is also GOD of music videos.

Okay:

1.) I didn't say that it was going to do well. I said that things are looking up if we're looking at factors other than iTunes. Sure it's a Thursday release, but at this point, we're all used to songs having a slow ascent up the chart. We'll see how it's doing on Spotify over the course of the week.

2.) Artists don't need huge hits in order to make money for the label. Kesha has been touring a lot, and that garners tons of profit.

Why does it's chart peak matter tho? This imo seems to be some form of therapy/catharsis for Kesha. It's not as if there hasn't been a lot of publicity surrounding her painful experiences so it'd be expected of her to say something. Why not put it in a powerful AF song that's going to connect with thousands of people who have been through something similar or some other truly terrible moment in their life. She's helping herself and her fans heal which is heartwarming to see

It is a moving and passionate song with a powerful rangy vocal (reminds me of Jessie J when she was good :0) ), whatever the history and background. Musically it is a great job and I'd be amazed if it isnt a success.

Great reaction so far on social media.

Okay can y'all calm the f*** down? Discuss this in a civil way or don't at all, thanks
Deleted that post, can we have a bit more tact around a woman who's been through what Kesha has please?! Dislike the song by all means but when the artist and song means so much to some people have some tact around it at least.

^ it's #23!

I love the comparison to Wrecking Ball tbh! It's certainly her Wrecking Ball moment in terms of artist transformation and making a statement, whether it is chart wise or not is yet to be determined

Hoping her appearance on R1 Breakfast tomorrow gives it a good boost!

So my post was deleted because the majority didn't agree!

It's the first time I've disagreed with the majority, but really?!? I'm not allowed an opinion then.

I'm allowed to have my view on the case, i'd never condone rape but I just stated facts!

Absolutely disgusted my comments were removed when I'm being attacked for my opinion just because it goes against the grain.

Your post wasn't deleted because it didn't agree with anything. Your post got deleted because you didn't state a fact. Whether she was raped or not has not been proven and you stating it is bound to cause hella controversy and I'm not here for it. We are here to discuss her music, not have a trial for an alleged rape.

Furthermore, I did not just delete your comment. I deleted everyone that was coming to drag you after that post as well, so please don't call us biased
