Wonder if they will do some paid for spotify Xmas playlists etc in coming weeks. Streaming of the song will ultimately be its success

why not wait for friday and release the video, the song, and some physical formats at the same time and include it on some high profile playlists?

This is becoming a trend like they are messing her single releases on purpose...

I can’t even with this :drama: Seriously why could they not just wait until Friday especially after there has actually been some effort with this single? Every time aside from Dancing they have screwed the single release by releasing midweek or landing remixes etc., weeks later? I don’t get it - they have spent the money on edits, videos etc., so surely it’s in their interest to try and get some chart action!

Up to 58 on itunes! Shame it wasn't released on a Friday, but fingers crossed it can become a sizeable hit...or at least hang around until Christmas!

I don't think it's a problem releasing the video and single edit on a Monday. For a 5th single, this would probably have got lost over the weekend if released on Friday; this way, the song stands a better chance of shooting up iTunes and being able to stay there. Like Aly (Tawdry) says, it's likely this will only officially chart if it gets a high-profile performance with the two of them... and yes, she does have great promo slots confirmed but I'm not sure Jonathan or Michael will boost the song enough to chart and I'm doubtful she'll even sing this on The X Factor (I can imagine something like 'Dancing' getting a performance).

 

I was hoping for something a bit more from the video, but I do like it. It captures the mood well and both Kylie and Jack look lovely. Would have been nice to see some shots of them together but I guess the idea is that the two are separated and are singing the song about one another.

This song is so gorgeous, I can't remember the last time she released such a good ballad. Everything about this era makes the Kiss Me Once era look laughable.

53 on iTunes - expecting this to do the same as her other radio edits (Stall around 38-45 then drop quickly as there is nothing yet to sustain sales).

Just been reading the response on social media to Jacks post about it and good to see they are all positive - he seems to have a decent sized fan base which won’t harm its chances of getting a decent boost after promo from both sets of fans.
