I'm really enjoying it all over the last few weeks, certianly feelsl ike things have changed and ramped up.

Stacey being back to herself rather then a stepford wife is welcomed, Carmel needs a slap though and I didnt believe the Kush story when he was child.

Mick and Linda together prove that Mick would never stand alone as a character he needs Linda, Linda on the other hand can run the world on her own and if Danny decides to leave I do hope Kellie would consider staying on. The Carters as just them two work well, Johnny really is no need for him he has no development or personality, Tina I forget is there half the time although I do feel she worked better away from the pub and the rest on her own in a flat and Shirley again works better on own.

Max plot has ramped up I'm liking the whole Wilmott-Brown extension his family are more interesting then half the square and its a shame they will all be gone once storyline done with as cant see them staying around...Luke and Fi are great.

I haven't missed Lauren or Abi and felt myself groan when knew was back last night and cant wait for them to depart, same for Ben really his character goes in circles and his emotions are basically scream lines, get angry, regret actions.

Michelle and Tom is interesting i'm liking Michelle think she has settled in now and enjoying her relationship with Sharon and the way she now has been supporting Martin and Stacey but again she needs to move out the Mitchells house.

The Taylors have shown depth lately with Bernadette and Karen miscarriage storyline and with Keanu's route he is going, I'm liking him with Ingrid as well but again shows that we didn't need the two lads Chatham and Riley they have been seen rarely, dont have lines and I know both have learning difficulties in the show and real life but I do think they are just going to hold the family back in terms of development and would of been better with just Bernie, Keanu and the one we don't see... was no need for Keegan to be added, I feel he should of just gone with the end of the school plot.

Overall lately been a big improvement, hopefully a decent xmas coming up, last years I cant even remember.

I would love to have Christmas focused around the Taylor’s
I was sleepy last night but apart from being premature, what is supposed to be wrong with Stacey's baby?

This continues to be brutal.

Outside of Stacey and Keanu, nothing of interest is happening. The Max stuff got insufferable half a year ago and continues to be, Poundland Pam and Les remain awful, Michelle's stalker storyline is just laughable (Michelle's howl worthy concerned face and Sharon calling 99-f***ing-9 over prank calls ), Sonia and Bex fighting over Bex's teacher is embarrassing to watch, and the never-ending drama involving the Carters got boring in 2015/2016.

I wonder if this is still largely SOC's crap? It must be, surely? The show needs a MASSIVE shake up.

EDIT: The Metro guy who has all the inside info on the soaps has said Yorke's work isn't on screen yet but will be very soon.

Edited by jase.

I think it'll be Christmas time we start seeing John Yorke's own work; all we are seeing right now is the work of SOC with a few tweaks made my John Yorke. Usually, when an exc. producer leaves, the handover period is quite smooth because the leaving producer leaves a small amount of work that can be carried out until the new producer's work has been filmed, but SOC left with immediate effect which meant there was like 6 months worth of his work already in the pipe line. It messes things right up if you scrap or make major rewrites to work, which I think is what happened in circa 2004 time.
Why the f*** do people listen to Kathy?
Why the f*** do people listen to Kathy?

I can understand her point of view on Friday's ep, but her approach to Jane was incredibly infuriating.

As for Jane leaving, I agree why did she not just die? She didn't serve much purpose as she was just getting better in hospital and then she left she was able to. I think she'll be back and be integral to Max being caught out and this tired corporate takeover thing crumbling as a result.

Watch as it's like random market stall owner who once argued with Dot in 1988 coming back to visit her

Yeah, I don’t see this being it for Jane for real. If it was, they should have killed her in the fire. She’s done nothing essential since then and Steven’s secret would have had a much better aftermath were he still alive to face the music.

Actually if Jane really is gone for good, what are they even doing with the Beales? Lucy dead, Steven dead, Bobby in prison, Jane gone, Cindy gone, Peter unlikely to return with the same head.....,

Just Ian and Kathy won’t sustain interest. Jane and will be back at Christmas.

4 Halloween episodes

None sound particularly exciting but this

"Local teens Bex Fowler and Louise Mitchell will also be making some major decisions over their love lives amid all the drama – what does it mean for Shakil Kazemi, Travis Law-Hughes and teacher Gethin Pryce?"

TAKES THE PISS  How UTTERLY riveting!!!
