Love Karen, but it was unrealistic that those 4 would be best pals after all that.

It was really randm, Denise moreso though iven Phil cheated on Sharon with her lmao, it was a bit forced "oh look such a community spirit all the women get on so much!1!!". I think in Karen's case it's just to emphasise her big heart which they've hinted a lot. You get the feeling she'd do anything for anyone whether it's her family and close friends needing a fiver or a vague neighbour who needs advice.

Even the script noted how Denise was pretty pointless there. I still don’t know why Sharon needed Karen and Denise’s help when she was able to channel her ex stepmother and smash Tom over the head with a hard object all by herself and Michelle did most of the talking afterwards.

 

I think they’re trying to get Michelle and Karen some new friends as they neglected to give them any for so long. For her first four months, Michelle only spoke to horny teenagers and anyone she could show horn in a mention of her parents to.

It's Honey and Karen that should be leading this Show . Bin Sonia and Louise and give their airtime to them

Quite glad the Gethin thing seems to have come to a sudden conclusion. It’s a bit too close to the bone for me atm as someone I’ve worked with has been embroiled in something similar.
