Wonderful news about Simon Ashdown. He is much needed and i would welcome a return for Sarah Phelps too.

I am hopeful Simon Ashdown is back for more than just the Christmas episodes.

I actually liked the parts with Carnal trying to give Shaki a pep talk. Felt like proper eastenders for a few minutes
And let's not forget Derek telling Johnny how easy gay people have it today and how they should be grateful to him, despite Paul being murdered for his sexuality just the year before. No way did Eastenders deserve that award.
And a gay character turned straight with NO MENTION OF IT and Christian got bashed on it

Well that was dull.

I can't at Whitney saying "I ain't a 1950's housewife" as if she didn't spend the best part of a year being exactly that.

Omg I wanted to hurl something at the screen.

Karen breaks my heart, it's great to have a proper representation of a family on benefits rather than these "poverty porn" documentaries on Channel 5 where they magically manage to afford an iPhone, 40 inch wall mounted TV etc

I can’t at Whitney not wanting to be a ‘possession’ when all she ever goes on about is finding a man to look after her.

In a world where Abi, Lauren and Ben have all been axed, why is she still hanging on?
