Or even better that monster collab with Icona Pop :music: :music:

I didn't like I Don't Care much at the time, I didn't like the long electro bass synths in it. Actually it was one of the last electro house songs to do well in the chart. Only three more tracks I would say to make the charts since (Rhymes, Five More Hours and Trouble) have been electro house I would say.

The video is fun-ish but lazy. Can't decide if I like it or not. Song is pretty good from where I'm standing.

Basically this.

The song is simple yet effective. The production is nice, slick but bright. Reminds me a bit of, 'No Doubt - Running'. Video is a thirst trap for sure, but I feel like it would have been better if she had incorporated herself into the mix. It feels like an upscale porn site ad. Not a bad thing, tbh.

No, trashing hotel lobby's

I wish she would stop mentioning this, she already mentioned something very similar in the awful track 'Fancy' ft Iggy Azalea.

I LOVE IT

I am a bit surprised you love it as lyrically it seems to me like Charli's least feminist song with all the talk about 'thinking about boys'. I may be interpreting the song wrongly though!

Even feminists get horny.

It's sexualising men like our society does automatically with women in its sub conscious. I'd say it's pretty feminist friendly looking at it from that perspective.

Yes, what a silly thing to say. It's actually a very feminist outlook as the video is showing men doing the things in videos that women have to do all the time. And yes, you can be a balanced feminist and still enjoy dick and male company as much as you like.

Oh God! sometimes just either SHUT UP or even just think before posting. That's cqmerqn sort of level.

This x100. The switch on the gaze is so interesting and done in such a positive way, where the men are still made to feel beautiful.

The song has several meanings for me. EITHER a drag of girls / people that abandon their friends for relationships which we have ALL experienced in our lives or more literally a song about lust and loving men. What is wrong with that or anti-feminist about that? If Charli is a proud sexual woman why shouldn't she be allowed to think about boys and lust after them?

Sometimes when I listen I think it's a subtle message about being alone in the world with only paper boys to lust after and no real interactions or lacking confidence to actually pursue anyone, at other times it is about being unable to stop thinking about guys and sex and passion and at other times it is a dig at people that put BOYS before FRIENDS. It means all of these and so much more and I am pretty obsessed.

The video is genius in my opinion. It perfectly combines internet / blog culture and subverts the male gaze to really transport the song to new heights. I absolutely ADORE it now and I am perhaps one of the biggest Charli naysayers on this site.

This is the most anti-feminist thing I've read in this thread :drama: Why CAN'T she think about boys?

What others have said really! She's straight and she's expressing her passion for boys :P

Also Lotti is our resident Charloon

yeah, cqm would never come out with anything that totally defeats the object of feminism/something anti-feminist, that is for sure :')

I LOVE this. The video is so subtle yet effective and I can say the same about the song. Banger.

I based my comment on the song, having not watched the video oops. I didn't mean for my comment to be offensive in any way.

I thought feminism in music was generally lyrically about independence and the distancing of a female (if heterosexual) from relying upon males in any way to satisfy emotional needs (and also the reduction of references of males in songs). I guess I was wrong though and its seems that my perception of what feminism in music is was too narrow minded.

Well I didn't intend for my statement to be anti-feminist, I am certainly pro-feminist.
