What is it about Alexandra you don't like? I just don't get why people seem to hate her

Gorka, Giovanni and Aljaž all have 6 packs too LMAO? I don't think the 'moms' care whether the abs belong to a celebrity or professional dancer.

Obviously on talent/star quality/personality etc. Alex deserves to win but she has already won one programme based on those characteristics so as much as I'd be gutted to see her miss out, I'm not expecting her to win. I think Gemma will be fourth with Alex/Debbie second (they don't announce which comes second/third).

This year they aren't even announcing who comes fourth, they're just announcing the winner in one shot!

I've kinda made my peace with Alexandra not winning but at the end of the day I think she's got what she wanted to get out of this (the chance to move up in her career into the next tier of musical theater roles) and between her Paso/Jive/Argentine Tango/Quickstep/Salsa I've gotten a significant amount of life

The final is usually a bit of a different beast to the rest of the series as the voting audience increases massively so I'm lowkey hoping Debbie can win as a compromise, I just find Joe really underwhelming. Having thought Danny Mac had it on lock last series until the final I suppose everything is still on the cards.

I know you weren't talking to me but the reason I'm not overly fond of her and other people I've read's reasons is she just comes across as very idk, insincere? Like I don't hate her or anything but she tends to annoy me with her reactions to her scores and 'shock' etc, I know they all do it to an extent but Alexandra does it more, that speech she made at the end of Musicals Show about how much of an honor it was to close the show was where it was most apparent. I think someone else summed it up better than me in that she's like someone in their first job interview

Joe to win! Him and Katya are an incredible pairing and their dances are my favourite, that lift at the end of their Argentine Tango *.* I love how enthusiastic they are about it all. Would be happy with Debbie though!

Yeah, passion and having big reactions to wanting to do well makes for such an annoying person. How dare she!

Exacly :lol You can tell how much it means to her, Katya as a professional for example does the same thing for example and gets shocked and excited at high scores and I think it's good both ways, they're happy to get 9s and10s as they should be. I don't get why Joe and Katya being happy and enthusiastic is like aw bless cute love them (as I see all over my Twitter) but when it's Alexandra she gets slated ad nauseam. I love the show but good lord I do not see how people get that offended by a dancing show? Even when there has been someone I can't stand winning or doing well (prime example Caroline Flack, who I DESPISE), it's about the dancing and there has never really been anyone since I've watched who didn't deserve to make the final based on their scores and ability etc.

I'm happy with any of the remaining four winning tbh, Gemma is the weakest left but I love her, and she's been so resilient after some awful weeks, Joe has grown so much and seems lovely and like he really enjoys it and the other two are exceptional dancers who give it their all every week.

I really hope Joe does that brilliant Charleston again on Saturday

Regarding Alex, I echo Jack and Liam.

We've had so many celebs over the years who have reacted OTT when they've received good scores and I can't ever remember them receiving such a huge backlash. How many times did Ore cry last year? Everybody was all OMGZ ADORABLE when that happened. It's just so weird and actually quite unsettling how she seems to have become a hate figure for absolutely no reason at all.

Strong black female's are never liked :'(.

Name one who's won a Reality series voted for by the public, I'll wait.

Alexandra Burke.

But I get/agree with your point. :P

This racism stuff is even more ridiculous, people seem to conveniently forget that this is the same British public that voted her winner of the X Factor, a show with even higher ratings (at the time)

But point still stands, Alexandra reacts enthusiastically and she's being irritating, Joe reacts enthusiastically and you live him...something's not adding up here!

And since then she got even further criticism, her 'okay dot com' skit got her ridiculed and her career was then dead. I really feel for her.

I'm not going to get into it hugely, but the fact we're having to reference shows over TEN YEARS ago to make a point is quite embarassing. I made a topic in The Lounge, and this article describes it perfectly - http://www.elleuk.com/life-and-culture/cul...th-black-women/

I'm not saying Andrew or CianS, are racist, by the way. But I think a lot of British people, subconsciously at the very least, are.

I don't think race is the issue because Alesha won and Ore won last year...so again, I'm stumped as to why she's getting this hate.

I wasn't talking about her being enthusiastic but it's the 'humbleness' that annoys me. Just my opinion

It's ironic how it's the Alexandra fans who always seem to attack people and scrutinize their opinions within an inch of their lives, I'm not talking about anyone here but it's apparent on DS especially.

Erm the fact you even have to say you're not saying I'm racist is incredibly worrying...as a few people have said it's just a TV show and nothing to get worked up over and me not wanting a woman who happens to be black to win a reality show because she's not my favorite shouldn't mean me being racist is even considered... :/

Oh god, you don't have to get so defensive. I was just making a point and it could have been seen as 'dramatic' so I didn't want it feeling like I was attacking you personally. You're entitled to your opinion.
