He must consider it worth while his time, studio time, otherwise he wouldn't do it. I don't imagine the record label would do it if it weren't making some kind of profit.

He seems to genuinely enjoy sharing his music about. Thank goodness for us he does. ^_^

I love both UTR, I more than 2.

It is only that I wonder about the way he is doing this. It is a cheaper production, almost no marketing and assumed he sold about 20,000 albums (?) is it still worth it financially or is it indeed for the fans.

I think he does it purely for please & maybe break even cost wise B-)

I'm not sure. :thinking: Guessing I wouldn't have thought they've sold anything like that. No one outside of the fan base would know about them. I'd guess nearer 3,000 each. I can remember for the first one he said he had signed 2,000 copies and was going to sign a whole batch more. But they are expensive. The signed UTR1 were £25, the signed UTR2 were £50 so that's how they break even. I know there were cheaper options too.

 

But like I say - I'm guessing.

Does Robbie ever perform UTR tracks?

I am still wondering if he is somehow contributing to the GH of TT and will there be a Christmas album? I also wonder when he will be n South America as indicated.

He played a gig for free to all the Upfront members as a dress rehearsal for the tour last May. I believe he sang a couple of songs from UTR1 then.

 

I'm guessing he wouldn't ever perform them at a "normal "gig but who knows?

I am still wondering if he is somehow contributing to the GH of TT and will there be a Christmas album? I also wonder when he will be n South America as indicated.

 

They'll have to announce the South America gig soon. If he goes in the autumn they need time to sell the tickets.

That's cool, a lot of the songs sound so good on the album so live would be great :dance:

Plus Heavy Entertainment Show is a re-write of an original track with the same title on UTR1 - so I guess they are always evolving.
