It'd be interesting to know how he's doing it. I don't think it's even possible to pay for a download on iTunes more than once - it would tell you you already have it. So is he creating thousands of new accounts with different credit card numbers? But how?

I was thinking it must be a street team of some sort, with 1,000 or so people being paid to download the track every couple of days. But like you say, this would only be valid for one sale per account so it would have to be one hell of a huge team. It's genuinely bizarre, I have no idea how it's happening but would love to know - if it made the official chart there might be enough public interest for a Music Week reporter to look further into it, but she's got no chance of that short of being top 10 on iTunes all week.

Omg at her still being high-ish!!!! I'd love to see how they do it too, ik in the past (I rememebr a song from the 90s mentioned on here that was looking to be a huge hit, got excluded because of suspected bulk sales but it turns out it was false and when the song was actually released again later it peaked low top 40 I think) there's been instances but ofc as you say we're not going to hear anything from Music Week unless she charts which in this climate isn't going to happen, so we'll have to keep scratching our heads
Instruction ON THE BRINK, just 0.15 behind as of last update - COME ON!!!
I want to see something new at the top of the charts.

Probably one of two ways: Gifting the song on iTunes or handing out pre-paid vouchers.

I'm not sure what the rules are about when gifted songs are counted, at purchase or redemption. Vouchers obviously would count at redemption.

Tbf I haven't heard New Rules yet so I don't yet dislike it. But I've heard Dua's other singles and they've been massively overrated on here imo. I don't think much of her as an artist.

I agree with you but for some reaosn I kinda like New Rules, I hate all her other solo material though.

Sounds like Tatjana - Santa Maria.

63. French Montana & J Balvin - Unforgettable (Latin Remix) (feat. Swan Lee)

Jumping on the Latin trend it seems

Sounds like Tatjana - Santa Maria.

Yep that's the one

There was a case like this in The Netherlands a while ago as well. An artist called B-Yentl was never played on radio, never did any promo but somehow managed to rack up a #8 peaking song that stayed in the chart for 67 weeks. She has 13 top 10 hits :/

We kept track of the songs and her updates were so sketchy, They always went bright green at a certain time

4  Dua Lipa - New Rules

Weekend is over so new songs tend to start increasing again than k God, and A list playlist is also kicking in. Incredible. Top 5 this week for sure before any discount or promo.

 05. Rudimental ft James Arthur // Sun Comes Up

 06. Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee // Despacito (Remix) [feat. Justin Bieber]

190. CamelPhat & Elderbrook - Cola

Please, Please, Please BLOW up and smash the charts! Song of the summer.

Also gutted that Sam Feldt 'Fade Away' never blew up in the charts either :(

This is such a tune but I really can't see it being a hit tbh :(

It's literally everywhere in Ibiza. I'm just hoping that it gets added to more Spotify playlists. I'm guessing it's in a similar situation to Solardo 'Tribsemen', I expected it to explode because I heard it everywhere but somehow It never impacted the charts.
